Speaking of methanol injection does anyone here run a water/meth kit? Is there tuning involved or do you just run the kit?

I'm planning on doing the URD fuel pump upgrade, I've been reading quite a few good tips/tricks on here. one question I have, when you do this upgrade, do you retain the fuel pump strainer ? does it need to be replaced ?

so I'm installing that URD upgrade kit (Walbro 255) this weekend, and if you are referring to the "sock" that goes on the pump; it is included with the kit (I just visually checked it in the packaging). It also comes with the inline fuel filter that will be external to the gas tank for easy changing.

    Hope that helps!

Be careful with the hoseclamps on the pump to the top of the assembly. They failed on mine due to being over tightened

Update: 2 new upstream sensors are in and it feels very healthy

What upstream sensors are these exactly? I want to have these on hand when I start installing my parts. Did Gadget say to replace them when you put the spec u’s and ucon on?

It probably had to do with mileage.
    I didn’t change my sensors.

So what’s the consensus ......if you want UCON (being s/c like us) you should not do it on the bd or trd flash but do it on a clean ecu???

I have thought for a split second to do UCON but not if I’m gonna have problems...I’m on a trd flash

    Edit....I have 31500 mileage

From what I have read here, if you have a bd or trd flashed ecu the ucon will never run the truck right. I think some people even had issues with check engine lights.
If I were you I would wait to see what OvTune does for these trucks.

The ucon ran decently on my trd flash, but not perfect. I wish I would have ran a clean ecu from day 1. So Id say its must for ucon purchases

Yeah that sounds right I guess, sucks cuz I believe the description for UCON states how it operates with the s/c.....is there kinks that urd has to work out with the new batches? Or is their stance is nothing is wrong?
