Art Park? Used to fish upstate NY all the time. Think my first Res licence at the Catt was $7. Nowadays I find myself fishing at home in Ontario almost exclusively. Fishing isn't usually as good but I don't miss the crowds or the line ups at the border.

Nice pics, and sweet setup KB. Oh to be that organized.

And Alex, that's a beauty. Full sink tip with a weighted streamer is my go to for stickeral.:rimshot:

I'm sure your buddy will give you the rundown but bring some big floats and lots of shot. It's an awe inspiring place. Good luck.

I have a 11 '6 rod I use that around my house , bigger rivers up ny is where I use the 13 . I like having a medium heavy set up you want back bone and better hook sets

Berkley pink worm works great and is always in my pack, i have salmon @ brown eggs which is my main use , also plastic beads are good. for stocked trout I just use wax , butter worms and beads ... I save the eggs for new york fishing

you got waders already , i recommend Simms I've had mine for 10 years biggest thing is to air dry them when you take them off alot of people just pack them away and the dry rot and crack in short time , also i only hand wash and spray Simms gore tex twice a year
