Good call. I missed that he was on stock UCAs still. OP, stock UCAs and a 4" lift means your caster is probably not where it should be. Have the front end alignment checked. If the shop finds you can't get to the correct alignment then you will need UCAs first, and then you still may need the clamshell bushing yet. Improper alignment could explain why you still have symptoms in 4wd, because they look like the symptoms arent nearly as bad in 4wd just looking at the degree of wheel shake in both videos

He should be fine with the stock UCA. The drop bracket lift keeps geometry the same as stock, it just lowers everything

Really? Thanks man I learn something new every day. So that makes it a giant spacer lift then? And only the 6" lift has the coils as well right? Sorry for all the questions just curious!

Essentially yes, but it doesn’t preload the spring like a top plate spacer lift. The lift just relocates everything down the amount that the lift is (onto a new lower cross member) The long replacement spindles keep the uca in the factory position. The concept is good as it retains original steering geometry, problem is you gain almost no ground clearance over stock (other than what you gain from the larger tires), and the parts are of questionable quality sometimes. I don’t have this style of lift myself, but that is my understanding

my truck is back at the shop today, hoping they find out what's wrong. I went with the DB lift because I get it looked much more lifted. And after knowing someone else who did a DB on tacoma, he was able to pretty much keep the feel of the ride from stock because as mentioned earlier you are essentially retaining the same geometry of truck.

I'm running out of ideas though, and I feel like it still is the wheels. Toyota says they road force balanced the wheels. And I've had at least 2 alignments done after.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Don't know if I should mention the needle bearing if my truck was still affected when trying it in 4wd.

Good luck on getting it fixed. Don't give up on it, its a great looking truck! I wouldn't bother mentioning the needle bearing to Toyota, your problem doesn't point to that at all.

Oh believe me, I'm not gonna give up until it's perfect. I love my truck so much, and have invested a lot of time and money into. I honesty wouldn't trade it for anything. This lil vibration thing will be resolved, and hopefully I will be able to help someone else. I have 100,000 power train warranty through Toyota and the lift was done by Toyota... so one way or another I wanna make sure it's perfect. I keep going through Toyota to get the vibrations fixed, but sooner or later (if I have to) I may end up coming out of pocket and bringing it to a specialty shop.

Someone suggested I take some photos of the parts, maybe someone can see something that sticks out. Let me know if there are any other specific pictures that you would like me to upload in order to help troubleshoot this photo.

I dealt with this exact steering shake on another vehicle that recently had new offroad tires put on it... It was what others already said: Improperly balanced tires.

What the tire shop did was put every one of the balancing weights all on the inside lip of the wheel rims ("static" balancing, they called it). This does not account for dynamic imbalance (imbalance that causes a wobble). The fix was proper (dynamic) balancing using weights on BOTH sides of the rims.
Since the OP's wheels don't have an outer lip that accepts clip-on weights, stick-on weights would be used just inside of the wheel spokes.

Some other possible causes are a bad tire (bulge or carcass defect), bent wheel, debris between the wheel mounting surface and the truck, bent axle flange.

Hopefully this might be of help for xXHotelCrazyXx. Things to look for, anyway.

I'm going to buy adjustable upper control arms because my alignment isn't quite to spec....but I also think a road force balance would be good because like you said, they've used a ton of weights on my wheels
