    I drive a 2011 Tacoma, Access Cab, TRD Off road. About a month ago my dad took my truck to the dealership, since I am in school, to have my master and slave clutch cylinders replaced because I some how got sediment in the lines and it messed them up. After this he asked them if they could reprogram the second keyless entry remote because it wasnt working and had a new battery. They then told my dad it would be $150 and he said nevermind. So when I went to go trade trucks back with my dad I pressed the unlock button on the keyless remote that was working when I had dropped my truck off, and nothing happened. Then I used the key to unlock the door and get in, I messed around with my truck making sure everything else was working and I found that the Lock/Unlock button on the door would only Unlock the doors but not lock them. I also noticed that the horn wasnt working and the yellow running light that double as turn signals also didnt work.
    I tried reprogramming my remote using a sequence of opening and shutting the door and putting the key in the ignition and that didnt work.
    My thoughts are that either, the dealership unplugged something or removed the programming from my keyless entry, or my keyless entry module went bad.

    Any thoughts or help would be great.
    Thanks

    Last summer my 07 electrical went all nuts. The dome light wouldnt go out, the keyless entry worked intermittently, the power windows only worked when they wanted to, all weird as hell but then as suddenly as it all appeared, it all went away of its own accord... Gremlins decided to move on or something.

    First, check your charging system, make sure you are getting ~14.0 volts out of the alternator. Make sure the battery is good, then do a hard reset - Disconnect both battery cables and hold them together for a few minutes.

    Reconnect the battery.

    Here is the $150.00 programming procedure for you;

    1. Start with the key out of the ignition, drivers door is open, all other doors and trunk closed and drivers door is unlocked.

    2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds. A. Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out. B. Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out.

    3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Close then open the drivers door. B. Close then open the drivers door. C. Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out.

    4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Close then open the drivers door. B. Close then open the drivers door. C. Insert the key into ignition and leave it in the ignition. D. Close the drivers door. E. Turn the ignition to ON (Do NOT Start or crank engine) then back to OFF. F. Remove the key from the ignition.

    5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should lock then unlock automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the door locks do not cycle at this point.

    6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. B. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, Press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps A and B in step 6 as the remote was not accepted. C. Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote.

    7. Open drivers door.

    8. Test all remotes.
