...when you are not going off-roading, camping, etc? I've seen some trucks around town that carry their RTT or shovels, etc everywhere they go while others have barely anything attached. Are there pros/cons to consider (other than weight)?

There is fear for theft for me, so I keep very little in the bed on a regular basis. I do keep stuff under the seats like a tire inflator, deflator, plug kit, and recovery strap.
