    Evening everyone !!!:hattip:

The VA Ortho visit this morning didn't go as planned , had a visit with the chief of Ortho. for this facility . He told me plain and simple they can't do anything for me as the prosthetic knee looks good , no loosening

I mentioned the sharp pain near the MCL ligament and he said yes possibly covered in scar tissue but they can't go back in do to the scar tissue . He basically said suck it up and live with the pain and see him again in 1 year . He also mentioned be grateful you've got 80% disability

I'm so Friggin pissed right now I don't know what to do

That area is great in summertime. My wife grew up in South Range just out side of Superior. Her parents lived up there until 5 years ago.

Antibiotics ended yesterday. Nurse said lungs sound clear. Fatigue will take time get get over and I have to make sure the fever doesn't come back or anyone who's sick gets near me. As she reviewed the notes, she said I was lucky I didn't have to be put on life support when I was in the ICU. Evidently I was closer to being on the ventilator than I realized.

Now that's over so we're moving forward. I have to walk around the house to help build some strength back. 3 times up and down the stairs today which wiped me out - but I got a nap out of the deal this afternoon... :)

Now that you are on the mend...

Guess it was about 8-9 years ago now I was about 51 then and was sick during the week but refused to go to the doctor. Sunday I was sleeping in front of the TV and the Ex woke me up and said the Bills are in overtime. I said didn't care it was just a football game. She said that's it your going to the ER. Might not agree with a lot of what she did now but she saved my life.

Spent 10 days in the hospital with pneumonia. Next full day the doctor came by with a bunch of residents and was talking to them about me. I said that I was fine. He stared at me and said I was the second sickest person in St. Mary's Hospital (one of Mayo Clinic main hospitals). The sickest was a 29 year old from Chatfield who just died of pneumonia and it made me the sickest person there, and he wasn't going to loose me too.

I ended up with him as my primary care physician I see him on the 29th. He wasn't seeing any more patients but I lucked out he is from Tn. about my age and a great guy, we hit it off and I try to do what he says. And a chair in internal medicine at Mayo.

Take your time, get your strength back. And get well. The Chief says so. But no pushups for awhile yet

There is no fix for that. It happens on vehicles driven by people of a certain age.

I don't think PT is going to help as I've got near full ROM in that knee . its just the sharp stabbing pain in/around the MCL ligament that is bothering me !!
