Jerky Acceleration (axle wrap)

Dear All,

My Truck:

2000 Tacoma Xtr Cab SR5 5 speed 2.7l 4x4

The Problem:

Jerky acceleration lower to mid RPM range under constant throttle. Feels much like I am pressing the throttle hard and letting off.

The Repairs:

New Stock Leaf Springs
New Shocks
New Center Driveline Support Bearing
Lubed Driveline including slip-yoke
Tested TPS

maybe something to do with your clutch/flywheel????????????? im no expert, maybe it something you never thought about. Although i almost doubt its that. Your dif is moving around WAY to much. really doesn't seem like its secured properly in spite of your recent repairs.

 

Yep thats axle wrap. The stock springs are junk for our trucks. You should have gotten a heavy duty pack. Im not really sure what you can do now.
