So the tailgate on the 2016 was different than the ignition key? Mine is a 2017 and ignition key fits tailgate. Wonder if the spare tire lock doohickey will fit there?

 

Its a pen holder - its in the 2017 manual. But I'm sure you can use it to hold other gadgets
