For map lights just pull the panel off with your hands. Unscrew bulb holders from back side. Replace bulbs. No tools needed. Don't risk breaking lens covers with screwdriver. You don't need tape. Take path of least resistance.

I just changed mine and one of the map lights is loose. It only stays on if I push the bulb a certain way. Any ideas?

    *UPDATE*
The leads weren’t touching inside the sockets, I took the bulb out and looked at it and they were pushed off line on the bulb, so I just adjusted them and put it back in and it worked perfectly

Just did this mod on my '17 SR5 DC. Used Superbrightleds as well. Dome light was super easy. Then came the fun part - the map lights. Pulled much more hair out than bulbs so went to the source for help: TACOMAWORLD. I want to thank SalmonTaco for this hint. Took me a few tries but it saved my butt. Frog tape worked for me.
