Hello all! New to the Forum here! Just wanted to ask those who have, how the PreRunner performs when towing. Thinking of doing a Uhaul 5x8 or a 6x12 cargo trailer that's gonna be filled with camping i.e. Coolers, tents, tables, etc. I have a 15 TRD sport with the tow package. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First, welcome to TW. Second, check out the towing bible for lots of good info https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-tacoma-towing-bible.4031/
Third, if all you will have is camping stuff, you shouldn't have any issues. Just know to expect increased brake distance and reduced performance.
Depending on how your rear suspension is, even with a light load, you may notice a little sag. If you do, one very good upgrade for regular/semi-regular towing would be airbags.

It tows exactly like a 2wd truck. Which is pretty much the same as a 4wd truck.

Unless you plan to tow offroad or in snow, it will be no different than a 4wd version of the same setup. If you get sag with towing, you can get airbags or different bump stops that help reduce sag (maybe someone else can chime in on those). But, yeah, you will find pretty much everything you need/want to know in the towing bible.

Camping gear is light weight. You can pull that stuff just fine with a Corolla.
    Have fun!
