Took the Taco on a road trip this week from PGH to Ft Knox (430 miles)

    My findings...
1.) I hate this piece of crap stock radio. Radio and speakers definitely my next purchase.
2.) I will never subscribe to XM. Also, satellite reception for XM cuts out even in open areas. XM signal is weak, or Taco Sat reception poor?
3.) Not at all impressed with voice commands for radio.
4.) For some reason, i tend to hug the right side of lanes in this 3rd gen compared to my 08 and previous Taco's. Anyone else experiencing that?
5.) Undercover SE Tonneau installed just before I left is sealed tight. Drove thru some pretty hard rain several times at high speeds and not a drop of water inside the bed. :crapstorm:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/UnderCover...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

6.) AVS intrack rain guards worked great during the rain and no real wind noise worth mentioning.
7.) MPG reported by dashboard as 20.1 as apposed to same trip last month without Tonneau at 19.6. Some improvement. :bananadance:
8.) MPG reported by dashboard as 20.1 but fuel receipts and calculator come out to 20.7. :notsure:
9.) Cruise kinda sucks. Every time you want to increase speed, tranny shifts down and RPM shoots over 3100 even if just trying increase by 1 MPH (Lots of wasted MPG doing this) And just to much shifting going on overall.

Undercover Swing Boxes delivered while I was out of town, maybe installing these this weekend.

I'd give @Mobtown Offroad a pm. They are currently running a 25% off sale and I'm sure would respond to any inquiries. Plus their sliders are beefy as hell.

Blue Sea fusebox finally in so I can clean up wiring for my bed lights and onboard water, and add my front camera. I need to run RCA through to the passenger footwell, anyone know which works?

Yes! Those wheels are awesome man! I like your taste. Those look like proper truck wheels in my mind. I grew up in the 70-80s, so that might have something to do with it.

Nice install. Can you tell me where you got the mounting plate for the fuse box? Thanks

Looking at their stuff now. Looks really good, and I'm digging the responsiveness already. Thank you.

I've had the blacks and the gray wheels you see all these young whipper snappers putting on these trucks. Always wanted to go old school and get polished wheels and finally said screw it, ordered them up and bolted them on yesterday.

I had an older 1st Gen Toyota with similar wheels and these new ones just make me smile.

Yeah, you like that? This way if you want to jump in the bed of the truck you have somewhere to put your foot.

They are coming off soon though. They just seem to get in the way and when I lift it a little more the Predator steps look better.

I sold tires for about five years and some people find problems with even the best brands. Some were legitimate gripes and some were just people who wouldn’t be happy even if they were free. That being said there were a couple that rarely ever got complaints and there are also a number I personally will never purchase.

Sometimes you have to take tire reviews with a grain of salt cause I know personally there are people that bash specific brands because they damaged the tire yet expect the manufacturer to replace it under warranty. You’d be surprised what a tire can tell you about how it was used and weather it was used correctly or incorrectly.

Thanks for the info. I am 'moving on.' Too many attempts. I like the responsiveness and product that Mobtown is turning out. Headed that way. Good luck w/ your purchase.
