Recently my truck started making a metallic tink sound when changing gears.
The sound appears to be coming form the front u joint to transfer case area and also the back u joint area. The u joints seem good and tight . The truck is a regular cab manual 4x4 . See attached video.Any ideas? How do I attach a video file?
    Thanks

I think you have to upload your video to youtube, then provide a link.

Hopefully its something simple like loose u-bolts in the rear, or leaf-spring related issues.
I'd get under there and check everything for tightness.

Not familiar with 2nd gen drivetrains, but in the second half of the video (front DS?) the 'upper' joint
    seems to wobble a bit.

If you do take it to a shop, go to a drive-line or differential shop. I bet they could give you a pretty good diagnosis just by watching/listening to that video.

Still driving it ,still clinking when changing gears or lurching .I guess eventually the problem will manifest itself.
Also has the 55 to 60 mph whine from the rear end when under light throttle to coast .

Check your u-joints for tightness and also check the flanges on the axle and tcase for tightness too...if the nut isn’t staked well it can loosen and make noise like that. That clatter is slop in the driveshaft or a driveshaft related component

Thanks I checked the t-case flange nut and it seems tight i did not check the rear diff flange. I will check it .
The problem was not noticeable during cold weather but now I can hear it every gear change.

Still driving it ,still clinking , 85 k miles . Turned the driveshaft around no difference in the clink but it did stop the rattling grinding sound when letting off the gas at 70 +mph, I read others have done this on a regular cab to stop the rattling sound. I will keep driving it the problem doesn't seem to get any worse.

Easy to check !! , just drop driveshaft at rear axle with a socket see if the pinion nut the holds the yoke is tight or finger loose . If loose the crush sleeve or shims on the pinion gear are shot allowing excessive preload and that's the metallic sound you hear

Another way besides what I mentioned is to drop the driveshaft from the rear axle . Next grab the pinion yoke and pull outwards ,if you can pull on it easy enough and hear a metallic sound the pinion preload is bad
