    I've been tossing around the idea of building a flatbed for my truck. One thing that I'm unsure about is how much of a market there would be for reselling the stock bed. I've never seen one posted in the marketplace here. How easy do you think it would be to find a buyer? What do you think would be a fair asking price?

    Why don't you check online for used beds. That may give you a good starting point and if yours is in good shape adjust the price from there.

    I sometimes search craigslist for tacoma parts and haven't seen any, and even if I did, I'm not sure if it would be any indication as to whether they're actually selling for the asking price. Besides there and here, I'm not sure where else to look.

    Good point. A quick search shows that they're listed for $1000-$2200. I just wonder if I'd have any luck selling it when there are so many options to choose from via the junkyards. I wouldn't want it sitting in the yard for years.

    Start at 1,500 (depending on condition) and drop the price $100 a week till it sells.

    @EatSleepTacos get some spare bedsides

    EDIT: if you have a base model, does that mean no rear flares?

    It's a base 6-lug 4x4, so it has the unpainted black flares. I'm not ready to sell yet, just feeling out my options to help determine whether I want to go through with the flatbed plan
