That means a lot to me! I’m glad someone benefitted from it. Definitely not a cheap route, but I’m completely satisfied with it.

How many hours do you figure you used them? My truck saw more hours on the fog lights in the first 2 weeks than my car did in the 2 years I owned it.

I leave the Headlight and Fogs on Auto so they were only on at night.

I don't do a huge amount of driving at night.

Hard to estimate, but a "guesstimate" would be in the very low thousands if not high hundreds.

I am really hoping this was just a "lemon" bulb.

Yeah by the sounds of it that’s the case. Personally I’d be Ok with them being replaced every couple years, but I have a 100 mile round trip commute.

I just ordered the Hikari h11...did you have to buy the anti flickering harness or just the lights?

Agreed. Not the cheapest, but OEM like quality and reliability holds value as well. Phillips has great street cred, unlike a lot of these flash in the pan LED bulb startup companies.

You post should be a Sticky for sure. Or a first page update to the OP. Mods...? Thoughts?

I got those bulbs as well (check a few pages back for my post on them) and I just ordered the bulbs, no anti flickering stuff.

Here is a pic of the throw. Positive improvement over the Halogens. Excellent beam pattern.

I tried to get a better picture of the Hikari bulbs. These picture were taken in my neighborhood, not total darkness.

First pic is just low beams, second is low + fogs.

Big difference in the beam pattern compared with the Hikari and the VLED micros in the last few posts. The Hikaris are similar to the OPT7s I currently have. I am supposed to receive the GTRs tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

I wish we had some side by side comparison pictures. Two trucks next to each other, pictures taken with the same camera so we can really tell what the differences between the bulbs. Depending where and how you focus your camera, shit can look a lot brighter/darker than it really is. If anybody is around the SLC area, I can meet up and compare other LED bulbs if anybody has different ones.

Seems many are happy with the GTRs. I may end up going this route or the micros. Hoping the micros come down in price for Black Friday.

Anyone switch from 35W HIDS to LEDs in the low beam and think LEDs are better?

This is a video of tests with 3 LEDs. The star is the LASFIT 72w. I has more lumens than the other 2 and has a pattern more like halogen bulbs, and they are $49.99 in Amazon. They were tested in a Hyundai Elantra headlight assembly. They are similar in light pattern to the GTR gen3s, at 25% of the price!!

I worry about the fan noise and its reliability. The GTRs don't have a fan. If they weren't so expensive and didn't require taking the headlamp off the truck I'd do the GTRs.

The GTR gen3 requires taking the housings off truck?

Here's what they say at HR:

"NOTE: In order to install the GTR Lighting Ultra Series LED headlight bulbs in the low beam, it's necessary to remove the headlight housing from the truck in order to gain access. If you want an easier install, check out our other kit featuring the Supernova V3 LED bulbs."

Dang. I was thinking of giving them a try to compare to my VLEDS Micros since both offer a 30 day money back guarantee. Not sure if I wanna pull the housings just to demo lol.
