Have had four Tacoma’s since I was 16 years old. Latest a third gen. Zero issues along with countless others! And you’re opining on the behalf of tens of thousands of people based on your opinion? :rofl:If I may.. Sorry but you’re entire thread is simply nonsense. Uneducated and uninspired. A blistering pile of steaming Bullshit. Zero credibility. Easily seen through. Gutless. Laughable!
    Carry on!

I see you've been a member here since 2014. There's been a lot of talk on here about the 3rd gens and what a disappointment they are, mainly the transmission not being smooth etc.

That info alone has me babying my 2015 so I can keep it as long as possible. Maybe a 4th generation will come out in 6 years or so and I can skip a generation.

Hood vibrates ( replaced hood ), drivers side door seal, drivers side window seal, engine retuned twice, tranny refreshed twice ( for the 9K miles I drove this truck had rough idle,no power, tranny shifting issues ) front end squeaking ( retorqued all bolts etc ), diff inspected for leaks ( none ) , CPS inspected for rough idle ( good part number, still rough idle ! ), replacement hood vibrating , oil spot underneath diff. ( first inspection was good ). As I said , this was the final straw with this truck. Just a foot note, truck was assembled in the Mexico plant !! My Gen 2 was assembled in Texas !!

I agree that my 09 4cylinder was a blast to drive (5 speed manual), but my 17 DCSB sport v6 (6 speed manual) is great. Could it drive better (more fun), yes but there is nothing wrong with it. I may make it better with the OV tune, but haven't convinced myself that the truck needs it yet. Hands down the 3rd gens look better, are more comfortable and have some nice updates to them.

I have talked to quite a few people with Gen 2 Tacomas and they feel the same way.

Give it up, you sound like you just recapped all the shit on 3rd gen threads. And it doesn't matter that the truck was assembled in Mexico, the robots don't give a fuck if it's being operated in English or Spanish.

Yes, I agree, the Gen 3 is a good looking truck with a lot of nice features. However, the V6 motor & tranny setup is pure dog shit. I installed the SSP mod and it did help quite a bit, but still rough idle and no power on the open road, down right dangerous !! Had the OV tune on order but cancelled. Still say the fact that the truck was assembled in Mexico is a major factor in a lot of the issues with the Gen 3
