Fox 2.5" Coilovers, Fox 2.0 Rear Remote Reservoir DSC, SPC Light Racing UCA, Wheelers Progressive 1.5" AAL, Wheelers Bump Stops, Wheelers Braided Brake Lines, Fuel Revolver 16x8, Toyo AT 265/75/16, ECGS Bushing, Energy Suspension Steering rack bushings/sway bar bushings, All-Pro Sway Bar Links, At the Helm Fabrication bumpers (front and rear), Cali-Raised LED lights, Leer Cap
I have a 2006 SR5 DC/LB 4x4 with 121,000 and a Leer shell. The rear springs were replaced ten thousand miles ago with the TSB springs from the dealership. Truck has is pretty much bone stock other than the fuel 16" rims on it. The current tire setup is Toyo AT 245/75/16.

I like the Toyo tires so I intend to buy Toyo AT 265/75/16 next month and lift it.

I have already purchased the following:
SPC Light Racing Upper Control Arms
    FOX 2.5" Coil Overs 0-3"
    Sway Bar Relocate Adapters

I intend to buy following next month:
    FOX 2.0 0-2" shocks
    ICON 1.5" Progressive AAL
Wheelers U-Bolt Flip Kit with rear Bump Stops
    Wheelers Front Bump Stops
    ECGS Needle Bearing
I am considering replacing the front/rear brake lines. Do I need to replace the brake lines? Will I need longer lines if I raise the front 3" and the back 1.5"?? What brake lines should I buy, Wheelers? Will I notice any improved braking performance with steel braided lines?

I used to spend a fair amount of time off-roading but since I've had kids my truck mostly sees the highway traveling for kids club soccer each weekend. I plan to keep this truck for another 100,000 plus miles, so I want it to be reliable and capable.

    Give me your thoughts?

I'm running Kings ET with 2.5" in front and 1.5" in back with AAL and nothing has popped off for me while wheeling. I'd recommend installing the suspension and then trying to go full articulation on some blocks or a ramp and check everything out from there.

The ABS lines are the bigger concern, the brake lines rarely cause me issues when lifting taco's.

The rear brake hard lines on the Baja/Pro include a rear brake line drop brackets to accommodate their 1.5" extended down travel. Also when installing the AAL I would suggest leaving the leaf spring mounted parking brake line disconnected. My articulation testing had it looking pretty stretched. I zipped the lose metal brake clamp, that used to attach to the leaf, up to the next brake line mount under the cab.

I have part numbers for the rear brake line drop brackets in this thread:

I would do 3" extended lines for the front for that setup (if going extended, might as well get some safety margin). You won't need to extend the rear unless you replace the stock leaf pack with a pack that has more down travel, like Dakars.

Member @OCTaco sells really nice braided lines and custom makes them to order. I have them on my truck and they've been great for a few years.

I have the ABS Christmas tree lights on my dash currently. Could you provide a little more info? I'd like to get my ABS working again. It's intermittent, but the ABS is out more often than not. Your info may save me a lot of time searching for the problem.

    Thank you

What’s the issue with the ABS lines?

Spoke with Wheelers Off Road. They suggested stock length brake lines for the front for up to a 3” lift. They also suggested +2” brake lines for 2” lift in rear.

The Wheelers rep also suggested using the Wheelers 1.5” add a leaf instead of the Icon progressive add a leaf. He said since I’m running a Leer shell on a long bed that the Icon progressive would squat. For those of you who have experience with this, what are your thoughts??

If you're not replacing the stock UCAs, the stock front brake lines are fine. With SPC LR UCAs, I have way more travel than stock
