You want the spray foam to wrap around the back of the studs , isolating them from the concrete and limiting thermal bridging

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Making some progress on the ceiling in the barn. Hosting Thanksgiving in there, I was hoping to have the ceiling done, but that's not going to happen.

Unfucking the non-existent threshold on the garage entry that the previous owner's laminate installers did a hack job on. No door sweep and huge gap with cold garage air flowing right in. They half ass glued on some laminate edging that didn't line up with the door bottom in any useful manner. I was able to remove that on about 2 minutes with a putty knife. The bottoms of the casings and stops were hacked too.

Pretty fiddly, I only have a half inch over filthy rough concrete to build up a lower oak threshold base so I can cap that with a 3/8 oak low profile threshold that will bridge over the laminate floor, about 50/50, so I can put a sweep on the back of the door that can actually seal against something.

Adhesive. A lot. I scrubbed the shit out of the concrete with TSP first and hit the underside of the oak with 80 grit to break the gloss and promote adhesion. Hoping for the best.

@scottalot @truchador This is how it spent the night. Loctite PL 375. I'm leaving these in place until this afternoon. Next step will be spot sanding to flush the top with the laminate before I put the profile top threshold on and then spot sand that to clear the door bottom.

Note the HFG (huge fucking gap) at the side of the back garage door multiplying the thermal issue dramatically. Next will be a side door seal or that.

A little extra airflow can be a good thing in a garage but prolly not that close to the door into the house :). That gap would let snow in lol

Developing a good air boundary between garage and house is important

I hope there’s a vapor barrier under the slab or concrete screws may be in your future lol

There is more than adequate ventilation with sill vents on the perimeter. Who knows on the slab. This is a Mediterranean climate and we're on a slope with good drainage, so we'll see. This back garage door faces west and windward, so it will get side seals and foam board insulation.

There is a 1.5" gap between the studs and my concrete foundation, the closed cell foam was sprayed in behind the studs, it is 100% sealed.

The panel itself is mounted to the wall, so that is the only part of the wall that was not sprayed with foam. I recessed the box into the framing and will have it boxed out.

Well after 48 hours I look the weight off.

This does a good job of showing the significant gap under the door, and how the end of the laminate edge was perfectly placed to preclude any easy solution...plus the laminate was flexing downward in the middle right at the edge. I put some shim material under the edge to limit downward deflection (not shown). It also shows the uneven surface of the concrete. In an ideal world, with far more time on my hands, I may have put a thin coat of self-leveling material in there. But I think this will work out. It will be at least Sunday until I possibly have time to sand the oak flush to the laminate and start fitting the 3/8 profiled threshold.

Any recommendations on how to attach Christmas lights to a stucco exterior? No wood to attach it to around the windows.

    Heavier duty staple gun?

Can you use command hooks on the edge of the windows themselves? I've done that before and it worked well.

    Not a bad idea

And to the projector light suggestion, thought about that but with it being a laser and us living near the flight path of the airport figured better safe than sorry. They fly about a mile to our west but frequently turn for landings 1/4mi north of us (same direction it would face).
