Im having a bear of a time figuring out Timken front bearings for a 2wd 2.4L 1999 ext cab SR5 RWD TACO.

I need to re-grease and Ive got almost 200,000 so I thought I would just replace. What tools are needed, where is the best place to get good (Timken?) replacement bearings, seals all the good stuff?? What surprises are in store when doing this? I've read I need a #36 socket or?

What tools are needed? Manuel says nothing on wheel bearing replacement. = ( Cant figure out online prices either. Ive seen 8.00 Amazon, and 40.00. ?? HEEEEELLLPPPP!!!!

    Thanks!!

I don't know all of the breakdowns. Do you have 5 lug nuts or 6 lug nuts per wheel?

Bumping this up. Has no one done wheel bearings on a 2wd 4.2? Toyota Parts list the bearings but not the seals or races? What other special tools would I need. I talked to one moron who has a shopt and he said he usually uses a hammer and screwdriver to punch them out and back in. LoL. Really, may end up at a dealer $$ if this crap keeps up.
