Hey guys new to the group. So I have a 2009 tacoma prerunner 2wheel drive. I dont off road with it thats what my kx450f is for haha. But I bought new tires and I got the cooper stt pro 285/75/16. With 1.5 inch adapters to clear the control arms. My question is will they clear the fenders with out mods to them. IMG_20171116_110215_326.jpg

You're doing it wrong. You need to take off the old ones first.

    You're welcome.

Put in Maxtrac spindles. Then, they will clear just fine.

If you can’t get them to clear. I’ll trade you some 265 Kevlar for them.

you might rub a little here and there depending on how sharp you turn. I went ahead and cut a small corner of the inside of my fender flare off to prevent any rub in the future with an angle grinder

I'm running the same tires. 100% NO they won't fit as is. You need to at the very least put a lift on the front end. You can buy some struts spacers or new struts themselves. Both are easy to do yourself. After you do that, take it to a GOOD alignment shop and have them dial it in for you. You'll still need to do some trimming of the splash guards, fenders, and possibly the body mount. The alignment could help you avoid that body mount. My experience and totally worth it..those tires make it look like a completely different truck.

Well I already have the shock spacers on the truck. I'm running 275/75/16 already and am clearing just fine. . I'm also installing 1.5 inch wheel adapters on the truck to clear the upper control arm. So I think I will clear.
