Engine knock

Does the third gen engine sound like a mini deisal when idling? Im getting engine knock from left side like a quiet deasil truck didnt notice it first month now month two i have it. 900 miles on truck.

 

At idle in can go into the cleaning cycle and is a little noisy, you can always take it to the dealer if you suspect something else.

The direct injectors use a high pressure fuel pump. It's common to hear noise from a direct injection engine.

 

Thanks. Didnt hear this on my 2nd gen 15’. My truck sounds like my dads 16’ f250. Runs fine though
