Best cap for a Tacoma???

    any good insight on best quality cap for a 3rd gen Tacoma??? What's the diff between Leer, A.R.E., Century etc????

    They are all nice caps. I believe Century is owned by Leer and is their lower end line. ARE makes a good cap as well. I'm ordering a Snugtop on Tuesday, but Snugtop is more of a west coast network, but LEER did purchase Snugtop last year, so I don't know if their dealer network has expanded due to them being bought out by LEER.

    Century and Leer are the same exact caps just branded different. You can get all the same options for pretty much the same price.

    I was gonna post the exact same thing.

    I've owned several hard caps over the years. Never going back. Love the Soft topper (mines on the Tundra, BTW).

    In addition, when I need to install or remove the ST, I won't be blowing a grape.

    I cant say what the differences are but I've been looking at ARE myself. I'm sure they're all pretty good though.

    If you are going to order a rack system with your top, ARE uses Yakima while Leer uses Thule.
