I need some help here. Unfortunately, after all the work I put into the Bro-Coma, I have decided I need a Double Cab :frusty:. A lot of lost money here, but it's kind of a sick hobby, that I know TW understands. I guess I could of gone with Meth instead, probably would have been cheaper. If this thread doesn't belong here, I'll remove.

Few questions, I'm too lazy to remove most of the mods I've done, so for the most part they will stay, but, should I leave the bed rack and Tepui and sell it like an offroad ready adventure, dare I say Expo AF build. Or remove Bed Rack and Tent and sell it as a Bro truck. Anyone been in this place that has some pointers.

Truck: 2016 SR Access Cab 4x4 Barcelona Red 2.7L, Manual Trans with 24,104 miles.

In no way is this a means to sell, I still have a few things to do to it before it's ready to list (CMC, front bump stops ect.) I actually plan on leaving it parked by a high school for a week with a 4 sale sign on it.

Here's a few pics of the truck. I'm thinking 33.5K and taking no less that 32K or is that not realistic  or too little, see I'm stuck?

Here is the add, I had a few drinks tonight so be easy

For sale is my 2016 Barcelona Red Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab with the 2.7L Engine, and 5-Speed Manual Transmission with 24,104 miles. The truck has thousands of dollars in off-road parts and accessories and hundreds of labor hours to get it to where it is now. I built the truck to be a great street driver, be quiet and smooth on the road, and to get out and explore the desert trails of Southern California, Arizona and Utah. However, life changes.

With the prices of new Double Cab Tacoma’s reaching into the 37k - 40k range, I will most likely be looking for an older double cab to replace my 2016.

This truck has been great over the past year and a half I have owned it and I get Thumbs up everywhere I go.

Truck has a custom 4 ½” lift with reinforced suspension components and custom 3/16” skid plates. The Tacoma rides on BFG 315/70r17 Tires and SCS 17” Ray-10 wheels. Axles have been regeared to 4.88 by Rearend Specialties and rear 8.75” axle has been upgraded with a brand new ARB Air Locker.

Everything on this trucks works great, and it is fun to drive, with a clean record and no accidents.

    List of modifications:

Suspension: Custom 4 ½” lift. Front Bilstien 5100’s with ARB/OME 885 Coil Springs. Rear has ARB/ OME Dakar CS047 Leaf Springs with long travel shocks.

Axles/ Differentials: Regeared to 4.88 using Nitro Gears. Rear axle has been upgraded with an ARB Air Locker. All axle work was performed by Rearend Specialties in San Jose. New Pinion Seals and Pinion Nuts were used. Rear differential received a new crush sleeve, and front differential received a crush sleeve eliminator upgrade, as well as an ECGS Needle bearing eliminator bushing to solve the CV Howl that Tacoma’s have had since 1995. All non upgraded parts are factory Toyota, and everything was purchased from East Coast Gear Supply (ECGS). Both Differentials are filled with Amsoil Full Synthetic 80w-90 gear oil, and oil was changed after the 500 mile break in period.

Tires: New BFG KO2, 315/70r17 (35x12.50x17) These are C-Rated and are the OEM tire for the 2017 Ford Raptor. They ride smooth and quiet.

Wheels: SCS (Stealth Custom Series) Tacoma specific 17x8.5 RAY-10’s with Gunmetal coating.

    Exterior:

TRD Pro Taillight, brand new from Toyota.

Rough Country 30” LED bumper Light Bar with Vehicle Specific Brackets.

Headlights, blacked out and upgraded with Lexus RX330 Tuned Projectors and Morimoto 5000K HID’s.

AllPro Offroad Cab High Bed Rack. Tons of possibilities for added accessories!

Tepui Ayer Roof Top Tent, used twice.

ARB CKMA-12 Air Compressor, mounted in bed cuby.

Under Hood: Prewired Bussmann Relay / Fuse Panel with Weather Pack Connectors and 100amp Bussmann Breaker.

Curt Class 3 Hitch with Curt Trailer Wiring 7-Pin and 4-Pin Factory Style Plug in bumper

    Interior:

Custom 3-Switch Panel with Toyota style switch’s. All wiring is fully removable and nothing factory has been modified in any way.

WeatherTech Front and Rear All Weather Floor Liners.

Hondo Garage Vent RAM-Ball Mount, and radio knobs.

Kicker/ Subaru plug and play Tweeter Upgrade.

    Truck Maintenance:

Engine Oil: Changed every 5,000 miles.

Tires: Rotated and Balanced every 5,000 miles by either wheel works or America’s Tire. Current Tires have ~ 10,000 miles on them, but show no signs of wear.

Alignment: Checked at time of tire rotate/ balance.

Body: Truck is washed every other week at Classic Car Wash of Los Gatos. And I have waxed it 4 times with Zymoil since I bought it.

Sadly I have never used this truck in 4 Wheel Drive! It will be very sad to see it go. All accessories are yours to keep or sell!

    Bump,

Any one been through this? I'm thinking of pulling the rack and tent. I just got the front bumper trimmed and out of the way, getting ready to start the Cab Mount Chop tonight.

I checked KBB and stock, my truck came up 26-26.5K. I'm hoping I can get 31ish, but we'll see. I've never sold a modified vehicle.

You own a soon to be much coveted classic Toyota pickup, imo.

Keep it and develop plan "b".

    Just saying....

Very noice truck man i would hate to see her go! but duty calls (or whatever the hell it is) IMO itll be hard to get more than 30k for it, its a tough sell for people in your area (bay area im assuming?) with the 35s and 488s.

And hey, at least if you get a new truck, you can start the mod process all over again! :woot::stirthepot::rockband:

    Edited for spelling

Yeah, it's been one of the best vehicles I've owned, and most fun to drive.

Funny thing, I just got a new job where I am required to have a 1/2 ton 4x4 pickup, so Double Cab Taco might have to wait a little longer :frusty:.

I'd love to keep it, I just have to much money tied up in it to let it sit. Building it was most of the fun and headache

Get a cheap used f150 or 1500 and drive the taco on the weekend. You will regret getting rid of it!

I would put up 2 prices - one with tent and bars, and one without.

I don't think you need to include what you're hoping to get next (i.e. second gen double cab), unless you're looking for trade offers. But it's up to you.

Craigslist is free, and the write-up and pictures are good.

Why not just post it in all the Craigslist regions within 50 miles and see what happens.

I could imagine somebody flush with cash buying that beautiful rig for their kid, "as is". Ask a fair price, aim high since it is one of a kind.

Good luck, sorry to see you have to move on.

Kind of a crazy idea but one thing you could do is buy the next truck and swap everything over, then put the bits from the new truck into the old truck and sell it "stock". That way you don't have to re-buy everything.

Not yet, I finished the CMC, and the 35's still slightly rub at full lock when flexed :frusty: I also trimmed and pulled the front of the fender liner, so the bumper clears the 35's perfectly.

I still need to get the hi beams to work on the HID's. The splitters I purchased do not work, so I need to make my own.

The interior is fully detailed and is cleaner than when it was new. I also pressure washed the under side. We had a slight mudsilde last year on my road, so driving through it tossed mud up in my under carriage.

I want it to be top notch when I list it for sale. I'm going to keep it in my buddies garage down in town to keep it clean, and its in a better location to show it.

I'm starting to realize that most people have no clue or understanding what has actually been done to the truck, so I'm going to list it as an Extreme Overlanding Rig  :bananadead:
