I have, but my 10K was done in the summer so that's when it was replaced. That's good to know about the cold temperatures ruining OEM batteries. I'll keep that in mind during this winter season.

I had an optima yellow top in my old pathfinder, it was quitting as it came up to the 5 year mark. The interstate that it replaced had lasted over 6 years and was half the price.

Went down when they moved to Mexico but no idea when that was. Some people have good luck but I’m not a fan of inconsistency. You won’t hear a complaint about East Penn

I had a 5 year Interstate that was still alive 7+ years with my 1988 VW Quantum Syncro Wagon, and was still going strong with the new owner.

That sounds like a nice rig. How was the 4x4 in those?

I don't know could have been for several days as I car pool to work. The battery did have one or more bad cells after testing. I replaced it with a Toyota 84 month since the same battery at O'Reillys was $10 more.

These used Audi Quattro 1.5 with pneumatic center and rear locking diffs with a pull switch in the center console. All QSWs used this system. Simple, effective, a much better system than any Subaru. 4 winter tires, never lift!
Quattro 1 uses a cable pneumatic actuated rear diff with pneumatic center diff up to 1984. Then 1.5 Quattro. The 5000 uses a Torsen center diff came, "TORque SENsing" which is 'automatic' as well as the 80/90, 100/200.
