So I went to my Toyota dealership today with the hopes of getting this squeaking suspension taken care of. I made the appointment 3 weeks ago and at that time mentioned the TSB, the person asked me a few questions and agreed that it sounded like the TSB was the fix. I figured I might be there for a little while this morning but should leave with a silent truck.

About 20 minutes after I dropped it off my service adviser comes out to get me and states they duplicated the problem and will have to order the parts to complete the TSB. I was slightly annoyed that they didn't already have them considering how far in advance I made the appointment and that my "customer states" section of the paperwork even mentioned the TSB by number. They then proceed to explain that the parts are back-ordered and there are about 1900 people waiting for them in our area. They said it could be months or Toyota could make a big shipment and they could be here sooner but they will call when they arrive to schedule an appointment to install them.

Anyone else being told that the parts are on back-order? Any thoughts on where/how to get them elsewhere?

On a side and positive note, I forgot to tell them not to wash it since I had the softopper on. It held up great in the car wash.
