Anyone have any issue with getting power to you fog light connector? I have been running opt7 LED's for close to 2 years no issue. fuse was good, but replaced anyway, fog relay replaced no change . Not getting any power to the wire connector plug. All OEM wiring. The fogs failed after i connected my fuse tap to run my Switch pro all of the fuse's are good and i have power to the Switch Pro. I know the dealer wont touch it since i added lighting and the switch pro. Only thing i can think of is i may not be getting a good ground for the fogs anymore but i dont know where to check the ground for the fog lights. no other lights affected! HELP anyone

    A) You should never run opt7s in an OEM fog.
    Read this: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/

    B) I'm not familiar with the switch pro, but it looks like it is rated at 100amps and you connected it to a 10amp circuit. It should have its own dedicated circuit or run off a relay and not be on a piggyback jumper fuse. Do you hear the fog relay engaging when you toggle the fogs? You need to isolate where in the system the failure has occurred by tracing back from the lights. Have you taken voltage readings at the sockets?

No I dont have a voltage meter. I just put a test light on the OEM wire connector for the fog lights. Do you think it was from the opt7 lights? The switch pro add a fuse was just for back lighting to switch panel, the main unit is connected from battery to the switch pro using the supplied wiring harness. Test light shows power to the fog fuse and I put a new fog relay in today but no change, I can hear the relay click when I turn fog light switch on.

I had no idea that the opt 7 led was not the way to go. I however never had anyone flash me.

A test light will suffice fine. If you have no voltage at the plug, but the relay activates, that must mean the problem is between the relay and plug, which sucks because I'm not aware of any connections between there that would fail. You check both sides? You should be fine with using the fuse as a jumper for backlighting. I thought you were using it for powering the switch pro, which would be asking for trouble to put it mildly.

Opt7s are fine in your headlight projectors, not in your fog reflectors.

Thanks for the help! I am working graveyard so will start back tracking the wiring back to the relay tomorrow after I wake up. I was going to change out my oem fog lights to the Baja design squadron pro complete replacement but was hoping to use oem wiring so they work off the light switch but may have to wire it to the switch pro if I can't find the issue. Do you think the dealer will give me crap if I tried to warranty this issue?

Good choice on the quality lights, however note that those are auxiliary lights and should never be used on the street. These are strictly for off road use only due to their lack of beam cut off.

Look at Bajas beam pattern chart. To be used on the street there should be a flat horizontal cut off below the horizontal line:
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/Science-of-Lighting/Lighting-Patterns.asp

If you remove the evidence of the jumper wire, and swap the Opt7s for stock H11s the dealer would never know.

Actually they are the squadron sports. I will give that a try take the opt 7 out and oem fogs back in and see if the dealer hassles me about the the switch pro I added. Thanks again for your help and all the info on the lighting !

You might consider this instead of the sports, as it will put out more lumens and can be used on the street (though color will be stock):
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-foglight-upgrade-not-led-or-hid.435419/

However if going with Pros, the Pros should put out more lumens. If going the LED route, I'd look at the Pros for best output (off road only) or look at the Morimotos which have a cut off to be used on the street.
