I had these on my previous 4runner. First set lasted just about 80,000 miles. Replaced them with another set of MS/2 and they lasted until I sold it 65,000 miles later and still had good tread. They were phenomenal on road in the rain and snow when I lived in Philadelphia and traveled between Philly and Boston fairly often. They will be at the top of my list once the Toyo's wear out on my new Tacoma.

I've used these on all my trucks and SUV's for a bunch of years now. I'm going to buy another set for my '15 Taco in a few months. Great tire.

Agree with MoonDog! Had a set on my V6 Ranger, superior all-around tire for just about everything except maybe serious off roading. Also, had good experiences with tires purchased from Tire Rack.

Love hearing all the good reviews on these things. Sounds like I can't go wrong.

Not many Michelin dealers close by. Interestingly enough the local Walmart is the nearest one. I checked there a few days ago, their price was actually better than Tire Rack (before Tire Rack's mail-in rebate anyway, which makes it closer to even).

I had to buy a tire today for our Yukon XL because we had a nail too close to the sidewall. I checked everywhere while on the phone at the dealer getting my oil changed. I checked Walmart, checked online, and to my surprise my dealer was $50 cheaper than all of them. It seems some of the dealers are getting serious about tire prices.

Back to the Michelin, there is no better tire made. If they suit your needs and are within your price range just stop now and buy them.

Yeah, my mind is pretty well made up. The Michelin LTX AT2 was an option for me too, but it seems like it's not going to be much of an advantage for me over the Defender.

BJs Wholesale has a Michelin X Radial LT2 tire that's the same as Defender/MS2 at a few bucks more cheaper in price and you can still use the Michelin rebate too

Fwiw, I just replaced all 4 of my bridgestone dueler stockers (40k miles) with the Michelin XLT a/s currently on sale at Costco. I am in love with these tires. So smooth and quiet, and they look aggressive in person. For anyone looking for a all season highway tire, dont hesitate on these or any other Michelin. I had previously been looking at BFG KO2 but realized I do 99% of my driving on pavement. I will post some pics and a review on a separate thread.

70 series is 160.49 for the X LT A/S, 176.49 for the Defender M/S. Note that both these have the same speed, load and mileage ratings

75 series is 196.49 for the Defender M/S

that's a very good deal, if the trucks a 4 cylinder I would stick to the p245 sized tires any little increase in weight or diameter of the tires will affect the performance. that's a smoking hot deal with the Michelin rebate

Got mine today. So far I'm liking them a lot. Definitely noticing a smoother ride. I think they look good. Thought I'd probably go white out but at the last minute went with black out.

I'm looking to replace my stock BFG AT rugged terrain 265/70/16 tires with an all-season set (same size preferred): Does anyone know the difference between Costco's Michelin Defender LTX M/S VERSUS Michelin X LT A/S? Are they both offered in 265/70/16s? I only saw the A/S in this size.

How visible, if at all, is the white lettering by putting the black out?

Old thread, but I recently jumped back on the Michelin LTX bandwagon. It definitely looks more like a "grandpa truck" now, but I can live with that.
