In the summer of 2017, I picked up my first Tacoma. I've been a long time Toyota fanboy.

After my Surf was written off, I decided to purchase a new vehicle for the first time ever. I haven't ever owned anything made past 96'. This was definitely an exciting experience. I decided to go with a 2017 TRD OR DCSB. This configuration makes the most sense since this is strictly a toy for me. I have a company vehicle that I commute in, so I wanted to spec and build this out for strictly camping/overlanding.

Unfortunately I didn't document my lift install, but I did snap some shots of the storage drawers I built.

Nice ride! I dig the wheels, gives it a retro wheeler look.

Nice! Both the taco and the hilux.
Any more info on your lift with the Eibach? Which spring? AAL?

Thanks! The lift I used was 112-620 Eibach Coils, Top plate spacers, Bilstein 5100's and Toytec AAL's.
On my Hilux Surf I had these same coils along with OME Nitro Shocks which I found super stiff, so this time around I decided to go with the adjustable Bilstein 5100's and found the ride was much more comfortable for daily driving.

    It's the OEM lettering off a BJ40.

Thanks! This setup definitely worked better than my tupperware bins flying around all over the place haha

Loving the build, very similar to what I'm doing with my 3rd gen!
If I knew the bctoyota4wd stickers were in green I would've been all over that stuck with grey until my canopy covers the rear glass! :annoyed:

I'm out in Abbotsford, I'm gonna have to the next time I'm at his work, need to get some new wheels for when the lift and STT Pro's go on since wheel spacers aren't happening haha so it'll probably be soon.

Really like the look of your truck!

    Couple of questions about it:

How do you like the Arrow canopy? The Mark I is on my short list, but it's a little hard to find any info on them aside from what's on the manufacturer's website.

Also, the drawer setup you've built is great. It is almost exactly what I had in mind for my truck and I just happened to stumble across your thread a couple of days after I started thinking about bed options. It was great to see what someone had already done. Thanks for posting the pictures. Did you secure it down in the bed or are you relying on its weight to hold it in place? I'm planning of having the dogs ride on top of mine and haven't figured out how to keep it solidly in place short of bolting it to the bed, which isn't the most appealing option.

    Sorry for the late reply!

The Arrow canopy is pretty decent. My only complaint is I would have preferred a center single lock rather than the left and right locks.

The drawers are pressure fitted, no drilling whatsoever.

Hey internet. It's been a minute since I last posted. Not much has happened to the truck, but nows the best time to update the thread on upcoming additions.

Just begun the build process on my rear bumper with dual swingouts. For now, here's some shots of some recent wheeling trips.
