Hit by a speeding tow truck. Had two scratches on my knuckles. Yeah, it’s a better truck.

I was just busting chops, the quote was "put a lot of effort in the Tacos", which I believe is true, since I think it's a good truck.

I never owned a Tacoma before this 3rd gen, and don't know/ don't care if my truck is better or worse, since it's all I have, regardless.

What I do see here at TW is "sibling rivalry".

As a parent of three children i can tell you each one of my kids is different, and none are better than the others. One of them might think they are better, but I know none of them are "perfect", lol.

I think it's similar with these three generations of Tacoma, all good trucks, none of them are 'perfect", again, lol.

It's funny and perplexing at the same time when I see members who own different gen's of trucks talk shit about the third gen or members of the third gen forum. Kind of reminds me of when I was in grade school.

And for what it's worth, my comments are nothing personal with you or your post, since I don't really know where you stand on any of this.

    Cheers brother.

    Not enough...
This thread is bad and the OP should feel bad.

That said, the 3rd gen has not grown on me. I'm giving the truck to my kid (he drives a 1st gen PreRunner right now) as soon as I pay it off in year and some, and considering getting a TRD Pro 4Runner after that. I hope Toyota does not fuck up the Runner before that.

I get what you’re saying. Im not looking to trade up anytime soon and if I did get a third gen, it’d be off a used car lot about the time gen 4 is released :)

That being said, if I could get one, I’d want to make sure it was an actual upgrade and not forking over cash for cosmetic differences only.
