The same shit everyone else has.
Long story short, Im trying to sort out a solid chassis ground on the passenger side of the engine bay for my 2nd gen to ground a second house battery.

I know Ive seen people do this but cant find any info on the best location. I havent had a chance to crawl under the truck and dig around and see what I can find. I wont have time until Thursday at the earliest.

The battery is currently grounded to the body behind the washer bottle and I would like to keep the chassis ground run short like this too.

I want to avoid running it across the engine bay back to the starter battery because I already have to run a 1/0gauge power wire and a 4gauge power wire across the fire wall. Id like to keep the clutter to a minimum at most.

I ran a ground to where to front crash bar attaches to the frame, maybe something to look into.

What is the second battery going to do??

As your not planning to run a ground off the battery for each circuit.

You want your ground to the part of the vehicle your secondary battery circuits are grounding to.

Now these vehicles have a slew of different ground points for different circuits .

The main ground points are always going to be the block ( any bolt into the block not the aluminum) the body (inner fender) the frame only if you want a really good ground at the back of the vehicle

It's acting as a house battery to supply power to all the added accessories.

I have all the accessories on a Bluesea fuseblock already powered off the oem battery. It is also grounded to the oem battery ground. I'm tired of draining the OEM battery on weekend camping trips so I'm in the process of adding a seperate house battery.

Are you going to use a constant duty solenoid to charge it?

Using a Blue sea ML-ACR to control the whole system.

Well, that's pretty cool. So, if you're going to use the emergency start feature, you need the ground cable attached to the engine. Then if you want to beef up the body and frame ground, you can add additional ground straps. Also, if you're going to use the emergency start feature, you need heavy cable feeding the positive side of the Blue Sea, so you don't melt a wire when you start it.

I have 1/0 connecting the able Sea ML-ACR to the batteries.

The whole system is sorted saved for the grounding of the house battery
