A couple days ago I noticed that my gas pedal sticks when I first tap it. So maybe for the first couple of inches in pushing the accelerator I have to put extra pressure to get it to smooth out.

It's all the more tricky because my Yota is a manual so I have to adjust releasing the clutch differently.

Again, it only is rigid for the first couple inches and then it comes normal when I push the pedal past that point. Also, it's more noticeable when I put the force from the bottom of the gas pedal versus having my entire foot on the whole pedal.

I noticed this only after I took in my Yota to have the valve cover gasket replaced. I'm not sure if it's related.

I'll take a closer look around the gas pedal and also under the hood where the throttle gizmos are (not that techy savvy) to make sure it's clean. Just wanted to see if this is a known issue for Yotas.

    Not a 'known issue'.

You'll likely find the cable binding around where the valve cover work was done.

Trace the cable.might not be in the holder right. Or it's routed wrong.
