Help finding our old truck! please!

Ok, so I am in search of a truck that has been missing from my area for some time now, it is my dad's old truck. All I have left of this truck is the vin number, some of y'all might not think it is smart to post it on her, but I do not really care for you all, I am in urgent need of help. I am looking to buy back my father's last truck, a 2002 F-350 Super Duty. It is a 7.3 diesel, 4x4, crew cab short bed. I really could use the help, I plan on buying his old truck back for him to give to him on Christmas. If anyone has anything constructive at all, or if you have any special way to help me out and look up information I would really appreciate it! I know how smart some of y'all are on this site, so naturally this was the first place I thought I could look for some help. All I know is that it is in New York state and it passed inspection back in March. The vin is 1FTSW31F52EC06433. please please please help a brother out here, I am just trying to make my old man's dream come true here. Thanks in advance guys!

 

Where did it pass inspection? Call the shop that did the inspection and ask them who the owner is. Maybe they can get you in touch with him/her.

 

most I have been able to find on it is this. 3/10/2017 is the last record of it.

Not that it’s any of my business, wouldn’t it be easier to find a truck exactly like that one?

 

pretty hard to find for anywhere what I would want to pay and then to make it how it was, 4" lift, 37's, engine work, exhaust and lots of other mods, not sure I could do it financially or physically by Christmas.. and this thing was damn near mint, plus in the last 6 years since we sold it it only has had like 40k put on it. another thing is it really would be the same truck, but then again it really isn't at all, ya know? that feeling of getting an old vehicle back is insane, especially when he has been dreaming about it ever since the day he got rid of it.

 

Ok, that makes sense! I would be on the hunt for it too, post it on Facebook, local car car/truck clubs, instagram and etc. I’m sure you’ll find it, especially one on 37’s.

yeah, good ideas but I just can't believe the information out there is so vague on the truck.

Try posting about it on the super duty forums. This one is pretty active.

 

Did you sell it to a dealer or to a person, aka can you contact the buyer?

Sold to dealer, contacted them and they really have a lost trail on it too. I think it may have been totaled judging by how it says that it is exempt from a couple of things, maybe a change to an "R" title.

so it was totaled? must for sure be registered as an "r" title vehicle now, exempt from mileage and various other things, such as inspection if I am correct in New York?
