I have had both 2wd and 4wd trucks.

I think the OP created this thread to start exactly what has started. If so, good job

There was a OR PreRunner with the 2nd gen. Bit of an odd truck. But there were quite a few produced over the years

I use to have a prerunner and the only time i ever wish i had 4x4 was when is snowed bad and i could not get up my drive way! Had to park in the street :annoyed:

Now that i have 4x4 it is used maybe a few days a year where it is absolutely needed. I drive 90% of the time in 2wd and i get everywhere i want. Just like i did in my old prerunner (which i still have and love)

Last Tacoma was a prerunner. Got stuck on a muddy two track and had to self recover. The situation would have been no problem for a 4wd.
Will never go back to a prerunner.

Why do 4wd owners feel the need to comment in this thread. It's neither required nor desired. For those of you 4wd owners, think of this thread as an excel read only file.

Well, because the OP asked what prerunner meant in regards to the model of Tacoma. So we answered o_O Anything else in here is just shit posting, and that applies to everyone.

I miss my old 99 prerunner with icon coilovers, hauling ass down matagorda beach doing 65 and it rode like a Cadillac.
