So...It got dark outside just like every night. But THIS night I had back up lights to check out!

DAY-UMMMM.! I thought they were bright when I set em off in the garage yesterday. They are bad ass! Major big time lit up behind the truck now. Happy Happy Joy Joy.

Movin' on. Where did I put those coils?

Just signed up for a county run adult education welding class. 4 hours a week, 12 weeks. Gonna upgrade my mig welder very soon. I can't afford to buy an expo trailer but I can try to build one.

MIG wasn't that bad. Then the guy handed me the stick, all I got was splatter, grabbed the MIG again.

First 4 weeks is stick welding. 2nd 4 is mig and tig. Final 4 is aluminum and stainless steel. The guy teaching says in 12 weeks I can weld a coke can to an ice cube.

Hmmmm. Ice cube......can o' coke.....? All I need is a bottle of bourbon and we're good to go.

Teeeeee Heeeeee Heeeeee! Had some asswipe pull up behind me at a traffic light this morning with his bright lights on. He carefully maneuvered so his lights were shining in my drivers side mirror. After about 20 seconds of sitting there, I just kept my foot firmly on the brakes and put it in reverse.

And my wife said the flush mounts were useless!

Asswipe driver turned his lights OFF....completely off.

I feel the need for MOAR LIGHTS!

Stick welding is great when you can't prep the weld area, but really isn't used so much anymore. I've never had a use for stick in a personal or work setting. Tig is by far the hardest to learn, and the welders are more expensive, making mig the most practical choice (my opinion) for home welding. I've always done aluminum with tig, anyone ever used a mig for aluminium?

3 days off work. Nothing planned. Just to sleep late, rest, eat turkey, drink beer, and play with grand kids.

May get up friday and swap coils. May not.

Et too much. WAY too much. It was once assumed my daughter should not cook. Early attempts were potenially lethal. She got better. MUCH better. Food was incredible. 16 y o granddaughter is getting to be quite a cook herself. She also will graduate high school a year early and has already been accepted to Univ. Of Cincinatti. In fall of 2018.

    Much to be thankful for!

3 years today my previous truck was destroyed in a wreck. Later that day, the current Tacoma entered the scene.

Time flies when you're having fun.

Weekend update; No 887 coils installed (yet). Interior is clean(er). Tires not rotated. Windows clean (until I took one of the dogs for a ride. Decided I like the 1979 Landcruiser grill emblem on my new grill. Just need to decide how I'm gonna fasten it.
