Looks like they came out really good! You could also do it with your mirrors and bumper step if they're faded. It's amazing how well it works. I'll never paint plastic like that again.

Yeah... I've been meaning to do that but I also want a different bumper (ARB or Relentless) so I've been hesitant to put the work in to do that haha!

Yeah I thought I liked the tube style bumper... but now I don’t hahaha. That’s kind of on the back burner though. I have a lot of more important things to do before replacing the bumper :notsure:

Small update. I got tired of the spare being in the bed so I finally got around to modding the spare tire carrier to accept the larger tire. I read that you could cut the ears off of the supports and it would fit. However, I wasn't to fond of removing the forward and aft supports from the carrier. Fortunately, the hitch acts as an aft support with the bigger tire so I cut off the rear ears from the tire carrier supports.

Unfortunately, the wheel wouldn't fit between the front ears and the hitch. What I did to solve this is I relocated the mounting holes on the supports in order to shift them forward.

I replaced all the hardware with new stuff and now the tire fits like a glove. I’m still not a huge fan of that heavy tire being under there. I am planning on doing a rear bumper with a swing out but I’m not sure when that will happen...

I also started working on a new antenna mount so I can relocate the antenna for when I find a deal on a soft topper. It's not perfect. I didn't find the proper sized angle so it's slightly undersized. But, after some shaping it should look pretty decent... we'll see...

Also, my stupid dust boot keeps detaching from the top hat of the rear passenger side shock... I need to figure out a permanent fix for that.

Well, I guess since I’m sharing my build, I need to share my fails. I spent most of this afternoon finishing up my new antenna mount. I was really happy with how it turned out, especially for just using an angle grinder and dremel lol. The only thing that could have made it better is if the two pieces were welded together. However, I underestimated how stiff the thing actually needed to be... whoops. It’s way to flimsy to actually use. So now it’s either back to the drawing board or I just need to suck it up and buy one of the ones that other people make.

Maybe make that antenna mount out of thicker material maybe 3/16 or 1/8 using the same measurements etc. Also try gusseting the angle to create a stronger base for the antenna

Took advantage of the super nice weather in Colorado today and hit up a quick trail. Unfortunately this area is closing next weekend.

...and I painted the bits behind my bumper black. I did satin black but in hindsight I should have done the flat black I have on my sliders. It would have matched better. Oh well...

    Ohhhhh yaaaaaa!

You'll love the regear. What's in the works for headlight upgrade? I'm tossing the idea of retrofits around. Just not sure yet.

Yeah I’m still deciding between a retrofit and a bulb wattage upgrade with an upgraded harness. I really want it to look as OEM as possible. @synergy10 has a really nice looking retrofit that got me back to considering a retrofit.

So, not much has happened to the truck lately. I have just been dailying it and taking it on a few trails during this winter. A week ago I got a check engine light for P0440. Something to do with the evaporation system. I had issues earlier with the gas cap not sealing properly so I replaced that with a new OEM one. The CEL went away for now. I'm hoping that was it. I really don't want to mess with the vent on top of the fuel tank...

Anyways, here are a couple pics from a trail run a couple weeks ago.
