It's happend to me on the on or off ramp. But that was because I took the corner too fast. Otherwise I have been lucky this hasn't really been an issue

This just happened to me on the 330/18 going to Big Bear. Freakin thing went off like 12 times. Pretty much forced me to drive the exact speed limit. Now I'll be that slow guy who has to use the turnouts. I think the length of the DCLB doesn't help.

I just had my 09 Reg cab lifted with the Zone 4" lift plus the Wheeler's AAL at my favorite shop. I haven't seen the truck yet and will pick it up this weekend. I went with 285/65/18 tires and -19 offset wheels. I just discovered this thread (and issue) yesterday. I read 90% of this and I am really crossing my fingers that I don't have the long sweeping turn VSC engaging like some of you mention. Had I known about this potential issue, I still would have done the lift. If I do get the problem, I'll probably try the Yaw reset and last resort would be toggle switch on the wheel speed sensor. Maybe there is a cleaner way of cancelling the VSC, idk. All I know is when I tried drifting and doing donuts the other week in fresh snow, it kicked on and I personally can't see any reason I would ever need it to do that. I drove POS rear wheel drive vehicles my whole life in the Northeast and never had a problem when the ass end kicks out. I'd really like the toggle to cancel the VSC without affecting anything else like the ABS but from what I have read here, they go hand in hand. If, the theory that altering the factory rake like the dirtbike guy stated is the culprit, I might be ok with the addition of the AAL to my lift kit. Thanks in advance for any input and I'll report back once I drive it a bunch.

Have a 2014 DCLB, Icon 2.5 ext travel coilovers set to 2.5", Dakar Leafs, and Icon 2.0 ext travel shocks in the rear. 285/75/16 KO2s on Method Racing NV wheels, 4.5" bs. Seems like I only have the issue in very long sweeping left handers. Tried to log a couple of the sensors today with techstream, but looks like it failed when saving. I'll try to get out again and log live when it happens to try and figure out if there are any strange values coming from the sensors that control vsc(yaw, steering angle sensor, etc). I am noticing that my steering angle sensor is reading -31 degrees when I'm tracking straight down the road. When I zero calibrate everything it uses that -31 degrees to set the zero point, so seems like it should be an issue, but wondering if that might be throwing things off. I also shimmed the yaw sensor a bit like the Tundra guys have done, but not sure it made any difference, might try to shim a little more to see. I imagine shimming isn't going to do anything when you zero the yaw sensor as it will just reset values and start from whatever static position it's currently in. Pretty frustrating issue to say the least!

I've driven 3000 miles since my lift and no VSC problems. I don't corner hard cus I'm pretty easy on her. On the street anyway.

I reset mine with no trouble. I don't drive mine hard either. I have only turned the traction control off like three times lol. Maybe I need to find a big dirt lot somewhere...

I just bought a used 2015 Tacoma with a toytec lift and 285/70/17's and it has done this 4 times in a week. Always on a sweeping left turn in the 30-40 mph range. After reading many threads in many forums I am not finding a definitive solution. Are people just living with this or is there a fix. The yaw shim sounds like to best solution, but I'm not sure. Are there any success stories?

I still haven't had any issues with the VSC kicking on unwanted. My 09 has the button to cancel the car and squiggly lines. I'm not really sure if this is the VSC or just traction control. I have seen lifts for sale that say not compatible with VSC vehicles. I might not have the VSC.

The shim seemed to reduce when mine engaged, but I just wired up a switch to disable on windy mountain roads. Disables ABS as well.

Ok I have a 6 inch lift I think I may be running into the same issue....I have no issues unless I’m making sharp turns like making a u turn or turning into a parking lot. I will start turning and if I turn too sharp I hear a beeping and it feels like my brakes kick on or an axle is binding...something. It quits when I start going strait. Is this the same issue. And if not have any of you experienced this? I have a 2011 tacoma

I know you posted this long ago, I can tell you both 38 and 330 will ALWAYS set the vsc off on a lifted tacoma. If you do the VSC reset on normal roads it will behave just the trip up and down to big bear seems to always set it off. Those turns are all badly angled. Turn off the VSC before you leave is my only advice... (10 years in BB and. 8 years with a lifted Tacoma).

So I lifted my 2015 4x4 DCSC about 2.5 with Bilsteins up front and Dakars in the back and the VSC light came on and doesn't go off. I can't even turn it off manually before starting the truck as some of you have suggested. Also, I haven't felt the VSC kick on at all. Ive disconnected the battery, no luck.

Besides the VSC not engaging, is this the normal VSC characteristic/experience that are associated with a lifted taco?

The front end is about an inch and a half too high so I will be lowering it to level the truck out and having it aligned. Has anyone done this and if so, has is corrected the VSC condition?

Just a guess but I'm thinking one of the sensors or wiring got damaged in the process? I would take the wheels off and take a good look at all the wiring and connectors.

Man I hope not!!! The steering wheel is off center and the guys at the alignment shop think that may be the issue. I guess that happens sometimes after a lift. Thanks

All done. The light was the steering wheel out of alignment.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I've had this issue. 2011 DCLB. OME HD kit. Sway delete. 285/70 r/17s on AR wheels. It was really obnoxious for a long time until I had the VSC re-calibrated. Now it's only an issue if I'm driving pavement too aggressively. I'm going in for an alignment and I think I'm going to get the skid control ECU and VSC calibrated just to make sure the problem stays gone.
