Prices on this stuff is so steep. Need to download a 3D modeling software like Solidworks again so I can design my own and have my buddy with a WaterJet cut me out some stuff.

I wish I could tint my front windshield...I have 5% tint all around. Makes it real hard for people to look inside even from the front. :D

Just the BHLM and aftermarket tail lights. :)

Yeah I’ve got 70% on the windshield, 20% front doors, and 10% on all back doors. Thinking I’m going to go 5% on the back doors and rear shield. It needs to be darker.

How is that at night? Still able to see pretty well? I like being able to see out the Rear-view to see if I got a cop behind me :p

If I’m backing up, I’ll roll my front windows down, and use the camera. Other than that, it’s actually not bad at all.

I can see well at night with the factory bulbs in the headlight and fogs!! Just cut the screen off on the jbl headunit, it really helps.

Here in NC trucks and SUVs we can tint the front passenger windows ds/ps no less than 35% +/- 3% and all the back windows as dark as you'd like. The front windshield either not below the ASI mark or 3in if not marked and as dark as you'd like.

I have my windshield strip @ 5% the front passenger windows at 35% and the back windows at an effective 5%. I can't remember the brand but it has a UV reflectivity and helps a ton with not turning the interior into a sauna.

That’s about the same as ga but you can have the back as dark as you want. But the laws are largely ignored for trucks. You have to get unlucky to get a ticket. Even the cops in town are blacked out, some with super dark windshield tint.

Yeah we can have the back as dark as you'd like just the front door windows for pass and driver have to be the 35%. NC makes allowances for police, fire, ems, limo, taxi and the like where tint laws do not apply. Cars have a different law than trucks and SUVs. Also if you have a medical issue you can get a waiver to have them tinted differently than law.

A friend of mine in middle school his mom was a true albino and got the waiver. From what I understand here in NC it is pretty hard to get the waiver for the tint.

Well like any “illegal” market I have heard of doctors that will write window tint prescriptions for the right price. Worth it.

I don't know if it would be worth it in NC every yr for the state inspections you have to present the waiver and the waivers are only good for 1 yr. So every yr you would have to get the doc not take it to a DMV inspector's office have them asses and then give you a waiver. So to pay a doc off to get extra dark tint is not worth it. Now I can't say that there were some inspection stations that would "ignore" the dark tint, and a much easierand cheaper process.
