Good for you, color isn't that important, but I did own a Jeep that was bright blue, really liked it at first, but after awhile, it hurt my eyes to look at it too long.

Never again will I own a bright blue vehicle, bright pink would also be a problem after awhile, so I wouldn't do it.

Plus, I would eventually get tired of all the ribbing I would take for driving it, lol.

We will only ever own white vehicles. Less prone to fade, doesn’t show dirt and dust as easily, doesn’t show scratches and dings as easily, stays cooler in summer.

So save the money and then spend it on a bad paint job?
I still would walk out on the original "killer" deal rather than do that.

I am 100% with you on your reasons which is why I bought white as well. Then I remembered the bugs we get and from May until September my truck looks like crap. I will forget about it and the bug season will come again......

I was between blue, white and MGM. I also looked at quicksand, barcelona red and everything I could find. Drove 2.5 hours each way to a larger city with better selection just to see each colour in person. You can never trust ink on a brochure or colour chip to be accurate to paint.

I once spent the entire winter prepping a project for spring. Blocking, sanding, priming....repeat! By the time last colour coat happened with all the wet sanding, it looked like a smurf crime scene. Then came 3 clear coats each with its own pearl. Can still remember the morning when I backed it outta the shop after drying all weekend (masked off glass & all) right into a new phone junction box the phone Co. installed out back that holiday weekend. Never knew I could cry & piss @ the same time. Glad you're OK,man! Gives a whole new meaning to the words "Seeing Red".
