Installed rear 5100’s today. Should have been really easy but the tab on top of the hitachi to hold sheared off, so I had to get creative to get the nut off. Still not too bad though. Dampens pretty quick now compared to the stock shocks, which were letting bounce a bit more.

Which all pros are you thinking about getting? I have the expeditions when I ride unloaded its pretty rough, but I can throw firewood in the back and pull a trailer and it barely squats. I talked to archive garage and they recommend them to run with the shackle flip kit.

Archive garage recommending a shackle flip to make leaf springs mellow out is like total chaos recommending long travel to fill up fiberglass fenders. They aren't wrong but they aren't exactly impartial.

@Zac of all trades Are we alternating meet spots between Ft. Worth, Central, and Dallas areas?

Not when people dont recommend spots... When that happens i pick a spot close to my house and post it up.

Its hard because some people want it saturdays, some want it sundays. Some want it close to Ft.Worth, and some want it close to N Dallas.

I’m open to any location, just not as free for different dates.

Don’t crucify me here... but what if we had a few specific places all over DFW planned ahead every 6 months? You’d be surprised at how many local businesses offer drink/food discounts if they know a group will be there every few months spending money.

    Just a thought

Edit: and preferential treatment (i.e. - sectioning off some parking, drinking in the lot, cook outs, etc.)

    :smack:Wrong thread!

How about coming up with a list of places in the East (Loop 12/35E and east- Dallas, Plano, McKinney etc), Central (between Loop 12 and East loop of 820- Grapevine, Irving, Mid Cities) and West (820 and west- Ft Worth, Keller, @hoarder23 's house near Abilene)? We alternate the locale and vote from the predetermined list of places in the area. There's a lake/river in each area, so Tacos en el Lago/Rio can always be an option. It would at least prevent @Zac of all trades from having to wait for people to chime in each month. It also makes sure each area gets the shit show in their neighborhood at least once every 3 months. Anyone can suggest a new place to add to the list in advance of the next vote. Lock the polls a week in advance, so people can plan accordingly.

Here's a few breweries for suggestions. Most areas have the same chain restaurants, so we could always have one of those as an option on the list.

    East:
Dallas - Community Brewing, Deep Ellum, Peticolas
Plano - Unlawful Assembly Brewery(opening soon)
McKinney - Franconia Brewery, Tupps Brewery
Water Option - Lake Lavon, White Rock Lake or there's a park next to the Trinity River by the Dallas Wave

    Central:
    Lewisville - Cobra Brewing
    Grapevine - Grapevine Craft Brewery
Arlington - Division Brewery, Legal Draft Co
Water Option - Grapevine Lake or Lake Arlington

    West:
Ft Worth - Rahr & Sons, Martin House Brewing, Panther Island Brewing, Collective Brewing, Wild Acre Brewing, Chimera Brewing
    Keller - Shannon Brewing
Water Option - Lake Worth or one of the parks along the Trinity
