    You could go either way. I would say dump the money in your suspension first then do the brakes afterwards. Our brakes work just fine stock but can always be better.

    Good point, you do need 17" wheels for the 5th gen or you can go with the Tundra setup if you stick with 16" wheels.

    My guess there will be an option on what you want. Originally I went with 2" but at the last minute I swapped to 4". You could certainly just get stock length if you wanted. Just depends on the lift setup you have or what you plan to do.

    Thank you guys. Since the suspension is the most, i should concentrate on that. I can always run on my 16s with an upgraded suspension. Then I can do wheels, then the brakes. Thanks again!

    I want to clarify on the 4th gen t4r upgrade. Do I need to get extended brake lines? I'm only planing ~2" of lift and already have 17" rims.

    Probably not. I would say at 3" you would want to. With your lift it would be up to you but I did it to be on the safe side.

    okay, so I tried to read through all of this and figure out what people are doing for their second gens... seems like there are a few options...

    OP is your parts list what you would recommend for a 2nd gen then? Trying to source parts this weekend and get everything for next weekend. If you'd be willing to hit the easy button for me and post the exact parts and numbers you would recommend for me ill love you long time :D

    The options are Tundra brakes for 16" or 4 runner brakes for 17" wheels. OP was fling the tundra. I posted on the 4
    5th gen 4 runner setup.

    Didn't the OP give a 3rd option for Lexus vehicles that gave more surface area than the Tindra setup? I still don't know if wheel size was confirmed.

    Ah I missed that tie are right. The Lexus and 4 runner setup are there same size. I would think the 4Runner setup would be easier to find. tje 2010 - 2015/2016 uses the same rotor size bit different caliper.
