Hey guys, my buddy just purchased a 2018 Tundra...

Does anyone know if the remote start for the 2017 Tundra is compatible for installation and operation on the 2018 Tundra?

    also

I didn't notice any dimples on the front bumper for a 'drillable' license plate bracket, is there a non-drilling bracket out there for him?

    Later.

Not sure if the Toyota remote start is compatible between years, but tech12volt sells a remote start and it is compatible with the 2018s. I have it installed on my 14

Remote starter is the same for compustar/idatalink

I don't believe there is an OEM starter option for tundra.

There is a Toyota remote start, but it is stupid, it kills power once you open the door so you have to then restart the truck

I've never understood this. My wife's highlander has this and it annoys me when ever we use it.
