Seibon makes a hood for the e36 I think. Just bolt on or wood screw on some bush wackers and you'll fit in with the stance and offset peps.

That is the plan. Been practicing on some scrap aluminum tubing already. Flat, I now have down pretty well. New to tubing still. As a novice, the curvature adds a dynamic movement. As I get it down, then I'll move to the Ti.

 

I like this. A lot even. If I weren't just trying to get the Bimmer back to DD status, that might be quite the build!

 

In other news.....I put my welder to some light work today.

Intercooler is out. Support bracket in its place.



Now to get some mesh back in that void.

Intercooler will be mounted lower, come the turbo . Lower the center of gravity a little and reduce the fans' restriction. Plus I want to install a higher quality core than this one.

 

I look forward to seeing some pics of the new IC piping once you get it all fabricated. Are you going to try and put the inter cooler behind the lower grill?

 

That is absolutely correct. I'll have to move the crash bar and the oil cooler, but I feel it'll be worth it in the end.
