But where would it be located in the 2018 trd pro?

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Just a hiccup, people always find a way.

Only certain packages. The one I posted above is a Pro.

Dealer doesn't know what he's talking about or telling you that so you don't mess with the safety stuff.
People are already swapping to the pro grille and attaching the sensor that comes with the 2018 and it works fine.
The new 2018 pro truck has a different shiny plastic cover over the sensor area, but it's essentially the same grille and setup as the 2017 version.
    Here's a 2018 OR.. or maybe sport can't tell :

The sensor on the off-road and sport are in the emblem now.
    The emblem is now 600$
The pro is mounted different as pictured above.
I’m wondering if we can detact it and it fits in the same spot as the pro.
My truck is on order won’t receive it for a couple weeks.
It just might be the same sensor just mount to the emblem on one and lower on the grill for the pro.
I work in Toyota manufacturing of the rav 4 so
I’m familiar with the new safety package and how the sensor behind the emblem looks.

My dealer refused to install the Pro grille on my 2018 because of the sensor issue.

But it is quite clear that the Pro grille has had the mounting arrangements for the sensor since the beginning. I have a feeling you just transplant the sensor into the new grille and there is a boss on the grille mount that allows you to make the sensor vertical with an adjusting screw. Just use a bubble level.

Where do you get the glass shields ?
Does it come with 2018 pro grill?
Do you have to recalibrate the tss as it will be mounted lower?
    Thanks

i got plexiglass from home depot and cut just to cover the slots on the tss

no recalibrating required... just mounted the tss to the trd grill hereCCF6CFE2-A21D-4FE9-87B0-28424FF9ED84.jpg

same placement as if it were on the stock 2018 grill

Nice job. So your OR has the factory leather? Just curious what other options you have, and how much they knocked off MSRP for you.

Canadian Tacoma can’t get leather sucks !!
    Msrp is 42000 can.
I get dealer cost minus 1000 for my discount so it’s not that bad for me.
