    The Giants bench Eli... are you kidding me!!?!! What a disrespectful move. He lost all three of his starting WRs with other injuries too many to count. Eli has 2 SB wins and a 210 game streak on going. I'm thinking this move is above McAdoo's pay grade but who knows. Now I have no love for Eli but come on Giants, give the guy the RESPECT he is due!!

    I always disliked Eli For his San Diego Snub. His was originally drafted by San Diego but said "No I don't want to play there." and NY traded a pick to San Diego for Eli so little MR. Manning could play for a big time club.

    He made the right move, look at that franchise. SanDiego couldn't win with Rivers who, IMO, is just as good as Manning. All that said, it still does not excuse the treatment Eli is getting from the Giants, with other guys quitting on the team this year, he did nothing but hit the field and compete. Hey Giants management... YOU SUCK

    He was never as good as Peyton - he just had more options to unload to. Too much emphasis is placed on the QB and not the totality of the offense or especially defense. In the modern era, offense gets you to the Superbowl but defense is what wins it.

    Personally, I have always been a New York Jets fan because I was in the second grade when Pre-madonna Broadway Joe was still at the helm for the Jets, and he made all of my friends and I believe he was the best, and the Jets were going to go back to the Super Bowl. This was around 1975. Now, we all know this never happened, but the scar of me being a Jets fan is still there. I have to say this about Namath. He was the NFL's very first Pre-Madonna.

    I am just curious what everybody here thinks of college football. To me, it is way more exciting than the NFL.

    And who was he throwing to in the two SB seasons... no one that compares to OBJ! The guy deserves more respect than the Giants are showing him. Some guys don't like him because of a career decision at the beginning of his career, please! I guess you guys hate Jim Kelly and John Elway for the same reasons. You'll also hate this years draft for deciding to return to college to avoid being drafted by the browns.

    So because he was at one point a decent QB he should be grandfathered in to the starting position? While you're at it, why don't you go grab some nice moldy cheese and eat that. It used to taste good, right? I'll still eat it now even though it's no longer good

    I think Elway learned his lesson with Manning. An experienced QB with a proven record isn't as willing as a newcomer you can mold. Ostweiller was SUPPOSED to be that Elway Clay, but he didn't pan out. I expect that as long as Elway has his current job they'll keep looking for someone they can get to drink their particular flavor of Rocky Mountain Kool Aid.
