    Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the light bars sold on Amazon. I've been looking at purchasing one for my front bumper and all the major brands (Rigid, KC, ect) are a bit out of my price range so I was looking at Amazon. My question is how good is the quality? I understand that its not going to be the best since these are an average of $50, but they do say weather proof and other things that would matter so make me feel like the quality wouldn't be bad. I was reading reviews and a lot of people said its a great bar for the price but some people have said that the range of the light isn't very far or that some of the leds have gone out. Anyway if anyone has bought one or knows someone who has, please let me know if anyone has advise or thoughts. I've been specifically looking at this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/30inch-Light...=1511977290&sr=1-4&keywords=30"+led+light+bar

    Thanks for the help guys!

I am sure plenty of people use them, I would always say that you get what you pay for. I will in no way pay for a Rigid Light Bar in that length, but Rough Country makes some nice one's.

I have bought multiple led lights off Amazon, if you want it to last a long time guaranteed pull it apart and seal it with clear sealant!

A lot of people use them, except half the lifespan or so of a nicer one and condensation buildup and stuff like that. But for the initial price, they're worth it.

the saying of you get what you pay for holds true for cheap light bars. if you are ok with the bar plastics going yellow, powder coating falling off and filling with water then you are good to go. I have noticed a huge difference between good bars and cheap ones. but like you said, buying a $1000 led light bar is not in the budget for most people. Just dont expect high end light bar performance out of the china one and you will be good to go.

I have had this one for almost 3 years now. Still as bright as day 1 (to my eyes)...but it IS hit or miss...like others say - better of caulking it from the start so you are confident it will not take on water...

Rough country seems like a decent mid-way point- no issues so far with mine.

Ive had decent luck with Nilight ditch lights, and I've seen one of their lightbars and they're definitely bright enough for trail riding anywhere that isn't the open desert. I didn't want to spend a bunch on my ditch lights or any external lighting because it's just asking to grow legs and walk off

My advice on cheaper ones would be apply your own seal with some clear silicon gel (you can find it at lowes for like $8)- that should keep most of the condensation out.

    This and that...
If you look close at some of the companies out there and here on TW, you'll notice that they use the same distributor, just with different branding, Auxbeam and CaliRaised for example. I also just found what seems to be an unbranded version on Ebay for half of their cost, $15. One is Cali Raised, one is Auxbeam below. Went with Auxbeam because I'm not from Cali. Reviews from both are very positive. Seal them up if you're worried as mentioned above.

Like I said seal them yourself before you install and you shouldn't have a problem with condensation or leaking. I've had the same nilight led pods off Amazon on the front bumper for two years no issue. Originally had 4, some fuck boy kicked and broke two of them when I first moved to Texas. So unless you plan on kicking your mounting brackets I'd say you're gtg

Haven't had any of these issue with led lighting from Amazon but you can: seal the lights with a clear sealant/caulking to prevents leaks, clearcoat the lens to prevent any discoloration, and paint the casing/metal with a durable black paint.

If you're on a budget like me and don't see the point in paying a crazy amount for cali raised or rigid light, these few steps should make the cheaper lights last much longer. Like I said though I've had the same lights for years and haven't had any issues, Maybe I'm just one of the few lucky ones of the bunch
