compound bows still take skill to shoot. you have the advantage of sight pins and the let off that helps when having to wait for the shot. you still have to draw with the animal close by, and not get busted. x bows require less skill as long as its sighted in correctly. bow is my favorite way to hunt i even use it during firearm season.

I know what you're getting at, but realize that crossbows have been around for over 2000 years. Compounds were first invented like 50 years ago.

Kinda hard to say their "technology" is the reason they aren't bows.

need to find a trail where they are coming from put the snare at the pinch point and around the coop. Just make sure you have them staked down good.

Does anyone here use a QAD drop away rest? I got one about a month ago and since then my bows accuracy has Shit the bed. No matter what I do the arrows are eating through the felt in the valley of the rest, which makes the arrows come off at all different angles. So my questions are: has anyone else had this issue and resolved it? Since it is a drop away rest the arrow/fletching should never contact it once fired right? What could cause this?

I have a picture of mine in my photo album.I did have it put on by the tech at the archery shop when I got the bow so I’m no expert on the subject but it sounds like it would have to be the timing cord that goes to the string (cable)..51DD8F3F-35D0-43B2-808B-95451A02F887.jpg

I have several QAD’s, as it is the only rest i use and I shoot out to 70 yards . I have not had that issue. I would check to make sure you’re lead fletching is pointing straight out at 9 o’clock (3 o’clock if you’re left-handed, i’m left-handed) and check the timing and your pull cord.
Also check to see if your catch bar, if you use one is not tilted too far forward or too low

Ditto, no issues with my QAD. I would have a tech check it over.

2 Questions for you, is it burning the felt off of both sides of the V or just one?
    And
Are you sure you’re not hitting the bottom of the site box? This is a very common issue that people miss, and then miss diagnosed flight problems not realizing they have their site box to low

most likely a timing issue like everyone else said. It should not touch once released, I had one on mine and it was a little loud so I replaced with a ripcord drop away rest.

It’s hitting exactly where the arrow rests when at full draw and peeling the felt forwar. I’m also getting color transfer from the vanes on the plastic part of the rest below the valley. Almost like the arrow is dropping with the rest. I can literally watch the arrows beer and wobble in flight. Definitely not hitting the sight box

First check the timing. If it's not the timing then your nock height is off. (To low)

You need to put your bow in a draw board, draw it back, check the timing on the QAD. If the timing marks line up, then stick an arrow level on the arrow while the bow is still at full draw. You should be level at full draw or even better nock high a little bit.

If you don’t have access to all that fancy equipment he mentioned above just use a buddy, Pull back to full draw and have that person look at that line to see if it’s lining up.
And yes I’m assuming all of your other alignments have already been addressed like he mentioned above.

this as well. Should be level at least to where the drop away rest mounts at full draw.

I had that issue, but didn't have the tools to fix it. I took it to the LBS my nock height was low and the timing was off. I never had a problem after it was adjusted

We do. It dug in that night and tried to jump in several times also.

We have some up at the points where we can find tracks and have them either bolted to trees or staked down really well.
