Well lets see. Oh, I met a guy from Australia today. He had an old 914 Porsche that caught my eye. He is a certified Porsche mechanic, moved here two years ago because he married a gal from Johnson City.

Lol i know what you mean. Ive got the same relationship with mine. Its dark green and a total pita to keep clean

 

It's this one, I like it, lies flat on the truck and the matte black finish really compliments it IMO

Scooped hood?

 

I know the feeling. We have land so it's a little ways to the house on dirt roads and dark colors just make it worse. Even with mine not being black, every time I wash it I know it's only going to look nice for a couple of trips in and out.

Yeah, I like the timberland color, but my Z71 is dark green and I just didn't want to deal with it again on our dirt roads. Pyrite mica is a least a little bit more forgiving with the dust. Not much, but it hides a little longer.

 

914's are a lot of fun! I learned a lot of what I know about wrenching from my Dad and his 914 projects. That and breaking and rebuilding my Jeeps.



The red one is a straight up tube frame, fiberglass body, LS powered race car. The white one is fully restored and MINT.

I second this emotion. It's my favorite vehicle color and I hate it so much.

The one I currently have for sale is non-scooped. It might be possible to talk me out of my scooped hood... Maybe.

 

Not sure I would fit in either of those, but I would be willing to give it a try...very cool.
