Beware of Moore Racing

Thanks to those of you who have supported me and sent me nice messages, you have no idea how much they meant to me. It seemed like my world had turned upside down today, but the people who have sent me nice words have really helped.

Im going to work as long as i can tonight to get all that i can get taken care of, taken care of.

Please PM me if you have any questions at all. Working with everyone of my customers has been amazing, seeing their builds transform. Ill get through this, Im just concerned about everyone who has concerns and want to make it right and get your stuff delivered ASAP.

This was very surprising for me to read - and honestly I didn’t have a clue of any of the background with Moore Racing until I received Jake’s candid email and jumped on TacomaWorld to figure out what was going on. I was going to send a personal email to Jake to convey the below, but I felt that to make it fair - I should also publicly throw my 2 cents in since everyone else has so quickly jumped the gun on their responses.

I can only speak for myself, and of my personal experiences thus far.

1. Can everyone just acknowledge that Black Friday was CRAZY?! I can only imagine what it was like for a vendor with hundreds of requests for quotes/parts. I knew going into my order that there would be delays (expected at every step in the fulfillment process as well).

2. EVERY interaction I had with ANY vendor was delayed in response (some still haven’t responded) however from the very beginning of my dealing with Battle Born, I was receiving timely responses and solid - well educated feedback on my questions.

3. Jake is spot on when he keeps mentioning PayPal as being a VERY safe way to conduct a transaction. I don’t have any concerns about getting ripped off or “scammed” when I work thru PayPal. Delays in shipment due to stock or a flux in demand does not mean “scam” in my mind. In an ideal world - stock would be matched proportionally to the demand gen, however for a small (fairly new) business it is VERY difficult to regulate transactions at that level. And unfortunately Amazon has conditioned us to expect 2 day free shipping. Haha.

4. I don’t want to go down a rabbit hole of chasing their business license and who owns who etc. I will definitely raise an issue thru PayPal if I feel I need to, however just as we expect professional and courteous vendors, I believe they should demand the same of their customers. To me, this means taking in an awareness of the external factors which can contribute to things like delays or mistakes with orders. I hope, of course, that everything I ordered arrives swiftly and accurate to the order - and that is something that I believe we all expect when working with a TacomaWorld vendor. Sometimes stuff happens - I can deal with that. I have faith in Battle Born to continue to fulfill their end of the “transaction” as per usual, however I think that we also owe it to their team to provide them the opportunity to do so before starting a virtual war and destroying a man’s business and reputation.

5. At the end of the day, TacomaWorld should be a safe place for enthusiasts to express their passion for this life and share great deals/stories/advice/and pictures of our dogs. If it turns into anything else - I don’t think it is productive for anyone and that is what craigslist is for - hahahaha.

6. Jake - I appreciate what you and your team have done for me personally - and the open communication - and the desire to keep everyone focused on the facts without cluttering TacomaWorld with more drama while you figure it out. I have faith that you are working things thru on your end and look forward to working with you in the future.

@Babyjake16 has been nothing but helpful through this situation. His customer service has been outstanding start to finish. My baja designs light bar got shipped out yesterday (verified through baja) at a great discount and I couldn't be happier. Hoping battleborn lives on as my personal experience has been nothing short of fantastic...

Just my 2 cents..

 

Just wanted to throw my experience in here. I came over from T4R just for this sale with BattleBorn. Jake has been great to work with, giving quotes, answering questions and just the overall experience. I've already received the set of 5160's, the Baja Designs S8 I ordered has shipped and should be here next week. I'm just waiting for my 6112's to ship and my order will be fulfilled and Jake has been good about updating tracking once things do ship.

Hoping everything goes smoothly for everyone else but I have no doubt Jake will do his best to take care of you if there is an issue.

 

Ordered wheels from MTM in the Method GB. Paid on the 8th, item never shipped. Been told that they have been "contacting" Method to get an update. I decided to call for myself today and Method answered on the first ring. Advised me they have no pending orders on the wheel I ordered and that they are in stock.

I tired calling MTM and it went to the voicemail. Sent MTM an email right after and now awaiting a response. I recently did the Rigid Industry GB who happen to be through MTM as well and the lights were at my doorstep in less than a week so this give me "slight" hope this will be amended.

 

I’m shooting you a screenshot of the order we put in. Unfortunately it was my mistake. I thought we were direct with method and was confused. Hopefully we will have an answer today from transamerica

 

So are you done wasting people's time trying to start this kind of stuff? I'm on here in the first gen section helping people fix their rigs and diagnose mechanical issues, in the deals and coupons section helping people get deals, working full time, and I'm a full time college student - your games aren't why I'm on TW so don't tag me unless you have a verified good reason.

Chas called me about an hour ago and I gave him the rundown of what has been going on, he said he was going to contact Method and see what the issue was. I told him that I contacted Method myself and they stated they had no pending orders and that they had them in stock. (He mentioned he would call me back in 15 minutes but never did) I went ahead and then contacted transamericanwholesaler about 15 minutes ago and got off the phone with them. I gave them the invoice number for the wheels & they said that Method should be shipping them out today and that I should have them by 12/8. No tracking was available yet so I'm not to confident on that date when they told me that. I asked what the delay was and there was no real answer.

Hopefully by tomorrow or Monday at the very latest I will have a tracking number showing they have been shipped. If not I will have to request for a refund or make a fraud claim with paypal.

Had no problems with jake at all. But after the order is processed he's pretty well not responsible for how things go.

I received wheels from Moore Racing, I just got the wrong ones. Initial customer support seemed promising.

The replacements were supposed to ship next day. This was Monday before Black Friday I believe. There was no mention of stocking issues or otherwise. So this is not a Black Friday issue, a stocking issue, delay or otherwise. These are wheels that were ordered around the 3rd of November.

Chas said he contacted Method and that's the last I heard from the guy for 10 days until paypal got involved and likely shut him down. Though at this point thanksgiving and Black Friday were in full swing.

This is a guy that has allegedly screwed 100's through multiple attempts using deception and aliases and has been banned from dealings here and you are gonna come out and tell us what assholes consumers can be????

 

I should also note that I have NOT been refunded yet even though I have returned the wheels as of yesterday morning.

How do you have that option if the transaction is processed through Moore??

 

I got the log in, i said that earlier when i told you it wouldnt let me refund "due to a technical error"
