I used some ratchet straps to mostly bend it back, it's still a little twisted and not lined up perfect but I can open and close the tailgate. I'm still looking at rear bumpers trying to decide what I want, and what I'm willing to pay.

Now to find a body shop I trust.

I'm stuck driving a new Ram as a loaner until mines fixed. What an awful vehicle.

Hope it gets fixed quickly and accurately. If you don't know a good shop then ask the local Tacoma chapter. I finally got my hood repainted correctly after a year of searching for a good shop. The first shop West Coast in Tampa (http://westcoastbodyshop.com/) totally botched the paint and then scratched everything when I asked them to fix it. Silver is an impossible color to get right if the shop is incompetent. I know it's hard to wait, but ask around. Also, some shops are accommodating to modifications and some just return everything to stock.

 

Insurance is pushing to have it done within 2 weeks because they are paying for the loaner. I want my buddy's dad's body shop to do the work because I trust him but he's more than 2 weeks out.

So I gotta figure something else out. I'm sure I'm gonna spend alotta time and aggravation fighting with whatever shop fixes it to do it right.

 

I would call the adjuster and explain the situation. They can rush the job, but if it's not 100% to your satisfaction, you have the right to ask them to do it again. They should be on your side, not pushing their timeline. They get a massive discount on rental cars and I doubt if they pay more than $100 a week. Ask them if it's worth a few hundred dollars to make their customer happy.
Remember, it's your choice to choose the shop because it's your truck. If the adjuster has issue with that, then please call the company's customer support line and talk to them. Adjusters are just trying to get cases off their book so they can move to the next one. They don't give a crap about you or your truck. The customer care depart does care (because it's their job).

Washed and finished dipping the door emblems, so it's nice and ready for the upgrade tomorrow. All day in the shop. I'll upload the pictures later with the before and after.

 

With a lot of research here on TW, I replaced my front shocks. Got a great deal from fellow TC member @mrSM1TTY on all four OEM Bilsteins (thanks!). Here’s the checklist I made from my research:

Checklist (Remove Shock and Coil Spring)
*Jack up front end of truck and put jack stands in place.
*Remove front wheels.
*Use floor jack to support lower control arm until the suspension compresses about an inch. This may require a using a 4x4 block.
*Remove two bolts that connect the lower ball joint attachment to the steering knuckle.
*Mark the location of the alignment cams on the LCA.
Loosen the two nuts not he LCA, but do not remove!
*Remove top nut, washer and bushing on the top of the shock.
*S-L-O-W-L-Y lower the jack to decompress the coil spring.
*Remove bolt connecting the shock to the LCA.
*Remove shock and spring.

Checklist (Replace Shock an Coil Spring)
*Insert the new shock and coil spring in the same way it came out. Be sure the rubber boot is in place.
*Reinstall the bolt to connect the shock to the LCA. Torque to 61 ft./lbs.
*Adjust the shock to assure it is aligned properly.
*Use the floor jack to lift the LCA and compress the coil spring.
The center shaft will rise up through the top hat. Do this until the center shaft of the shock is no longer rising.
*Replace the bushing, washer and nut on the top of the shock. When the shaft begins to spin, put a wrench on it to continue tightening the nut. Torque to 20 ft./lbs.
*Reinstall the two bolts that connect the lower ball joint attachment to the steering knuckle. Torque to 118 ft./lbs.
*Lower the floor jack.
*Reset the alignment cams on the LCA and tighten the nuts. Torque to 100 ft./lbs.

I didn’t have time to tackle the rear shocks before my alignment appointment (sitting in the shop waiting now). I’ll Do that tomorrow morning.

I made a few phone calls and talked to my adjuster again. It's going to a local shop tomorrow morning that has done work for my parents and brother so I've seen the work. They were my second choice. We discussed the timeline and shit. So we'll see what happens.
