I am thinking about picking up these FJ Cruiser wheels, tires and tmps sensor on CL for $100. I have never refinised wheels, but I have done a few similar things so i think I can pull off something like in this thread: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/wheels-tires/125206-another-wheel-painting-project.html I think the graphite will be look awesome on my silver DCSB. I am pretty good with prep and paint, supposedly there is no curbage or cracks or scratches.

I am not planning on doing much, of anything to the inside/back of the wheel. I was only going to paint the fronts as if they were plastidipped. Is this a bad idea? if I were to try to clean up the barrels and back side of the wheel, would I just and and re-paint? Is there anything special I would need to do on the inside surface that mounts the wheels to the truck/hubs/spindles/whatever i shoud be calling them?

I have an appointment to get some BFG KO2's installed Tuesday. Google seems to tell me that the flash time of duplicolor enamel is between 1-2 hrs. If I pick up the wheels tomorrow, prep, paint and clear them in one day I would get tires installed Tuesday after a day or so of curing? Does this sound crazy? I googled and foudn people that said they were able to do it... does anyone here have any experience with duplicolor? Will thier products cure fast enough for that in 60 degree temps?

Here are the pics. Do we think scotchbrite pads and sand paper can knock off all of this corrosion?
