    Great job.

If you are still having hub issues I'd recommend contacting @BamaToy1997 for some assistance/options.

Looks like you have been putting some quality wrench time on this rig. I know the feeling of doing basically a custom build.
I will say that I read through these two pages so far and the biggest problem was when you used the air hammer to tighten down the locking nut on the wheel bearing. That is a HUGE no-no to do that. It will invariably cause a bearing issue. You have to use the special tool which only costs about $16 on Amazon right here. The bearings are Timken/Koyo but ignore all those who say anything negative about them. They are the best bearings available. You can still get the hub that you were having issues with from Toyota, but I will say they are VERY expensive. (About $250) so if you can get a donor hub, I would go with that for sure.

Hey y'all! I appreciate the posts and comments! I figured out the hub issue a while ago. Sorry didn't post anything about it because I thought taco world lost interest. I bought one used for $180 with shipping. The bearing was bad in that one so I got it pressed out and installed a new one!!
Make sure to take the snap ring off before pressing! The fricken machine shop I took it to couldn't take it out with an 80 ton! Lol.
This color is the 2016 tacoma grey. I'll post the color code later when my painter lets me know lol.

Can't exactly tell the color, looks like wet primer.

So far, material and booth renting about $500. The paint itself was like $250 for a gallon.

Yes, at first I really was upset at how it looked bc it does look like wet primer but up close it has Metallics in it. Will post a photo of that up close.

:gossip: 'hate' may be a bit strong. But it's certainly not on my top 25 list. :D

@tacopashka you are doing some great work here! I feel like this kind of rebuild is few and far between anymore... much easier to take a 30K loan on a new truck than put in the work, sweat and blood to keep "old" trucks like this on the road. I know that I'll do my best to keep my first gen driving, and really it only takes two ingredients to the process... time and money, and usually they're are inversely correlated... the more TIME you put in the less MONEY goes to someone else, and the more MONEY you throw at someone else to fix it, the more TIME you have... so it's really just up to what choices we make!

Can't wait to see the end result! Any more info on any drivetrain maintenance/upgrades you have made?

Some serious work for sure. I know because I did a total repaint on my truck several years back. Went from black to a custom blue.
